I regret getting married to the most lazy, good for nothing, useless woman in the world, but the iphone...nope! Love it. I wish my wife came with a 1 year warranty..would of had her swapped out at the genius bar within the first 30 days.

I dont really regret getting the iPhone, but I sometimes wish it was on a better network, o2 at times is shockingly bad (gprs is faster than 3g:()

plus with version 3 coming out shortly things are going to get even better

Thats quite a large proportion of people saying no to the regretting it then :) in fact everyone, so far at least-presuming that other people will look at this :D

I guess the main thing that i have against the iPhone is having all that data in one place could be quite insecure and whatnot, if it ever gets left anywhere.. but then again i think why the hell would i leave it anywhere?! its 200 quids worth of phone, not exactly cheeeap ;)

u know u can back it up right

I have never been so into a tech-gadget 1 year+ into its life than i have with the iPhone .... i use it constantly and couldn't imaging being able to achieve the same results with any other device in the next short while...

I am keeping a close watch on Pre and Android though ... but right now there is nothing about those two which gives me any reason enough to move....i'm just glad they're pushing hard and will now give Apple pressure to continuously improve

I don't regret it, it's a great gadget. But signal and the phone part is crap... I always lose signal and it's irritating, but I will persevere.

my brother had his iphone stolen, so he had to re-get one :D

ps, i love mine.. no regrets whatsoever. couldnt imagine not having one

no no i c what u are saying i just forgot we live in this awful world

Yup!! I had a creative MP3 player n watch nicked from me 2 years ago almost mearly because i was in the wrong place at 2am! :( anyways yea i know i can back it up, but its after i lose it, if i do! what do i do then :-D

Love mine. Take it with me everywhere, and I never let it out of my sight, so I don't worry about losing it. I've had AT&T since I got my first cell phone--I'm only 21, so I haven't had that many cell phones, but their service is pretty good--not very many bars at my house, but adequate, better everywhere else, so I can't complain about that--plus they let me upgrade to an iPhone early! Gotta love that.

I regret getting my iPhone. That's why I switched back to T-mobile and have unlimited texting and 700 whenever minutes under $50 with my Curve 8900.

To be honest, I spent the extra money just to see the iPhone experience for a month and the device got boring at times.

It's a great device but it's overrated. I'd rather get an iPod Touch with my Curve because some areas that had 3G were very slow for internet and Wi-Fi is much more reliable for web browsing.

My iPhone's the best phone I've ever had :) Weirdly - because it's what gets knocked most in reviews - I really like texting and the keyboard on it. It's also alot better than every other touch phone I've ever used and I know that if I had to switch to another phone I'd miss it.

Also on the phone side I get better signal with fewer (ie no) call drops than I did with my Sony Ericcson (also on o2)

Never regretted getting the iPhone (we have two in our household), but I'll be ditching mine soon mainly because of the monthly cost. I use mine for calling and a bit of texting, but that is it. Even with rollover minutes I do not see what I am paying ~$51/month for, which is about $6 less then my fiber + phone connection at home. It would be another story if the plan was in the mid $30 range.

It was fun while it lasted. ;)

I got one but returned within 30 days under AT&T's "buyer remorse" policy. I used it and it was great. I had no complaints with it. The phone and what it is is amazing. And it was a joy to use and send and receive text msgs. The WIFI capability was right on and worked great for checking email, etc. So why did I return it? I couldn't justify spending $165.00 a month for the unlimited everything plan. That's what it came to with taxes. And I didn't like the 2 year mandatory agreement with AT&T. If they would have offered me a one year plan with a lower monthly rate for everything say in the range of $100, I would have kept it. But with the economy deteriorating daily and homes being foreclosed and no jobs, I had to take it back.

I am a almost 20 year veteran of the wireless industry and most of that time has been on the handset manufacturing side of the business. The iPhone is the best device I have ever used that actually converges multiple functions so well. It is my favorite device.

My Samsung G600 is now eligible for upgrade and I'm in two minds about getting an iPhone. I use a mobile primarily for making calls and texting - I would really like a decent web browser. I'm not interested in games and my iPod holds music, books etc.

I'm a Mac fan and consider Apple products to be the best designed and engineered products of their type.

To me, the iPhone is quite large, looks looks great for kids and more like a toy that would be fun to play with but, - when the novelty wears off ????

The only thing I honestly wish for that the iPhone doesn't have is a physical keyboard for one-thumbed typing. Other than that, no regrets whatsoever.

And the 3.0 keyboard seems to be even "smarter."

I love the iPhone but not the monthly bill. I will be switching to Cricket wireless when my AT&T contract is over and using an iPod Touch in addition to the cheap Cricket phone.

I was in your position. I liked the apps but I didn't use them much. I mainly used the phone, ipod, and safari. Texting was$5 for 200 texts and the cheapest plan was $83 with taxes.

I went back to T-mobile and got the Curve. I'll be getting an iPod Touch soon. I've wasted over $500 from switching back and forth and boy have I learned a huge lesson.

I really liked the iPhone but not those monthly bills. Even now that I'm back on T-mobile on my mom's family plan, I have unlimited textings, 1000 whenever calls, unlimited weekend/night calls, Mobile 2 Mobile, NO data plan for my Curve, and best of all....I don't have to pay anything. The bill for our 4 lines is $136 a month. That also includes insurance for my Curve.

And I was paying $100 a month for basic everything with $15/month Best Buy insurance which didn't cover theft, loss or water damage.

You iPhone users better keep your iPhones with you at all times or you'd have to pay $500 for a new one.

I'm sticking with T-mobile for good because my whole family is on it.

Yeah, I've been hearing about 12-14 year old kids getting the iPhone for their birthdays. It seems to be attracting kids a lot these days.

That's because it's the phone to have, I saw a 12/13 year old march into the O2 shop a while back, snatch one out of the dock, wheel round to her mum and go "THIS is the phone I'm getting"

Apart from the fact that the girl seemed like a brat, an iPhone seems a little overkill for a kid (in terms of the cost of the phone)

It doesn't. :D
I've had an iPhone(1st gen, now 3G) since November 2007, and I still love this thing as much now, as I did when I first got it. It's always in my hand.
I usually get bored with gadgets after a few months(PSP, previous phones, etc), but I still adore the iPhone. Any flaws it has, are vastly outweighed by all the things it does well. Plus, it'll only keep getting better, as Apple rolls out new hard/software.
