Hate is a strong word. I don't particularly care for a great majority of people but seldom do I bother enough to 'hate' someone. Hatred requires maintenance and usually that says more about the hater than it does about the hated. It's a very self-destructive way to live life. I think more often I find myself disappointed with people but even more I am disappointed by my own reaction and expectations. It's a learning process, I suppose.
As for this discussion of hatred for crying babies, I don't know that I understand that one entirely. I don't like crying babies, not one bit, but I tend to dislike the parents more for carelessly subjecting everyone to that. The babies can't really help that they haven't yet learned how to express themselves. sometimes they never do learn and grow up to be awful adults. Learning to express yourself is an important and learned skill.
What I mind most of all is children (& the parents of) who are old enough to be taught better being allowed to act like little heathens while their parents sit idly by. THAT pisses me off.
I went through a particularly angering time at an airport not long ago with some HORRIBLE children, in particular a 6-ish year old boy who was off the rails. I was kicked, slapped, jumped on, screamed at, had my bags knocked over, etc etc etc FOR HOURS, and I was not the only one who was being harassed by this little monster. The mother did literally nothing about it and it was her that I was more angry at. </tangent>
