Sure I hate my iPad. I hate the fact we only have 1 and even though my wife said she didn't want one keeps hogging mine. So yes I hate my iPad. :D

"THAT MAN being around" is the reason why the iPad even exists!

How can you possibly be upset about the iPad "being in Apple's hands" and not in "somebody else's to develop"? It's Apple's product, what did "somebody else" do that was so bold and innovative to earn the right to take over the products development?

If you have an irrational dislike of Steve Jobs, then who would you suggest as replacement to do a better job as CEO of Apple, Inc.? That Android dweeb Andy Rubin? The idiot who runs Samsung? Who exactly do you want instead?

How can I put this:

I Love the iPad as a piece of technology.

I Love what is CAN do.

I Hate the fact that it's in the hands of Apple as I'm sure it has the potential to be so much more as time goes on.

I Hate the fact that it will be held back by Apple and stopped from being something it could be as Apple thinks it's customers in general are dim and cannot manage anything more, how shall I put this, more flexible.

I Hate the fact that in time other tablets that are not made as well or have the same library of software will probably offer more independence than Apple will allow the iPad to have.

That's why I am Frustrated.

It's like now that Apple have made it, I'd like them to give it to someone else to enhance.

A love hate relationship.

This is what frustrates me with Apple and why I cannot buy an iMac.
I want Apple to put as much into the technology side as it does the design side. And not hold back and deny technology to it's customers.

Whilst THAT MAN is around, this will never change as it's more about what he personally feels is right.

It's such a shame, as it could be so much more.

Piggie tends to maintain a narrow view that Apple is a 1-person company that slavishly follows the whims of Steve Jobs without ever once thinking of the poor customer. All the tens of thousands of employees are just twiddling their thumbs and playing Angry Birds all day. He doesn't appreciate the complexities of keeping a multi-billion dollar company viable on an ongoing basis while providing products that consumers will buy.

In Piggie's Apple-world you'd have an iPad with the same functionality as the MacBook Pro, with a full OS, a full array of ports and upgradeable innards. Because, after all, the technology exists to make it happen. But that awful Steve Jobs is in the way.

The only thing I hate about it is the fact that I have to wait for a stable JB solution to come out for each version. So far, only 4.1.x has been safely JBed. 4.2(.1) is JBed, but it is tethered with a beta untethered available (not ideal).

But as far as I know, I'd have to wait for someone to root an android tablet when it releases also. And then the wait for the port of whatever android version is currently out.

I don't understand the whining about movies. I drag and drop avis into Ovideo with no issues.
I also read books just fine on it..it's easy. Some folks are just spoiled by technology and will always complain.

This one girl I work with railed me for getting an iPad several months ago. Talked about how stupid it was and useless. She was angry about it. It was odd. I would say a true hater.

She was just begging to get one from Santa for Christmas. Ahhh marketing.

I just got an iPad and I absolutely love it. I have the iPhone 4 and doing surfing, emailing, playing games/apps, reading PDF's and ebooks is so much more pleasurable on the iPad.

I tried the Samsung Galaxy before deciding on the iPad. I found the Galaxy's touch screen interface to be sluggish and lagging, when compared to the iPad. In my opinion, I have yet to use a touch screen device that can match Apple's devices.

Some people say about the iPad 'its just a big iPhone/iPod touch'. But that's what makes it worth having. With the larger screen on the iPad, it just makes things more pleasurable and easier to do, especially too with the larger on screen keyboard.

I hate it not having flash:mad:

I Wish Adobe would just release the file

Not everyone Mr steve jobs have converted there websites to HTML 5 yet

If I hated the iPad, I would not be here. What is to hate? It is the greatest tool I have for writing, watching movies, keeping up on RSS feeds...if you hate it, you should probably sell it. Or send it to me!

Just curious if anyone here got the iPad then took it back and purchased a different tablet.

Yeah, I know. Why would former iPad owners be here? I'm sure there are a few of you hanging around. :)

Why would returning it make you hate it? If it doesn't meet your needs its not that big of a deal.

I don't own one and after trying it out at the Apple store, my initial reaction was that it could do a lot but it's hard to type on.

But after a few tries, about a dozen, I actually got good at it and learned about more of the features it has and it's a very good product for the money. You also have to fit the niche the iPad is about.

If you want a machine with a large physical keyboard and run a full version of MS office, then get a budget PC laptop or used Macbook in that price range. If you want an optical drive, then by all means get an inexpensive laptop.

If you can live the the iPad's keypad and don't need the optical drive and e-mail and internet are the key things you do, then the iPad seems to be a good fit. It's small footprint is also a great feature.

I don't hate my iPad, but it certainly can be a frustrating device to use. The lack of RAM causing Safari tabs to reload is by far the biggest annoyance for me, and is a real productivity killer when you're having to wait for webpages to open again. Also, because of it's weight, my arms end up being quite fatigued from holding it up.

I don't hate the iPad, but I did sell mine. Mostly because it was a HUGE distraction -- too many games and too much web surfing. But also because I got a wifi pad. I really need the 3G.

So, I'm going to wait and see what the iPad 2 brings. I sold mine now before the value collapse, and I'm using my iPhone and Macbook Pro for now. We'll see what the new one looks like.

But it could be more, and that is a little disappointing.

This guy hates the iPad...

I love my iPad but it's getting ready to go on ebay, so I can get the ipad 2 in April. To hold me over, I got a $250 nook color and rooted that bad boy and its a cheap, decent little 7" tablet with 1024x600 res. The text is much better than the ipad due to its increased dpi. I also really like the 7" form factor, and wish apple would release the ipad in a similar one

Does that still happen? Have you upgraded tp iOS 4.2? That should solve your problem.

I hate, hate, HATE my iPad...

Because it has spoiled me and turned me into an apple fan girl :p And it's making me drop $1500 on an iMac because the iPad is so stress free and I want that same experience with my desktop :) (and because stinkin' windows 7 is currently driving me insane because my darn dad got a nasty virus on his computer :( Wish he'd buy an iPad :p)

Posters in MacRumors? Yes, some say that they hate it after it was launched, yet now it's in their sig. How ironic indeed.
