I ride bikes as well - Was an avid 3-5 day a week rider for years prior to kiddos. I tried a trainer (still have it) attached to my Infinito roadbike but something about the saddle pressure of being stationary vs moving was/is very uncomfortable for my nether regions lol.

I opted for a kid trolley attached to my cross bike and I pull my littlest 1.8y/o along while riding with my oldest 8y/o but to your point, life has gotten very crowded, so is hard to get those consistent rides in like I used to. Luckily for me, I live where there is fantastic riding weather most of the year, so am not tied to indoors training like wetter places.

Still at it though and the pain relief from my back therapist + stretches + weight loss has been great :)

Just thought I’d ask. Hoping for something “magical.” After all, this is an Apple forum :)
I think the most important thing going forward is to be more aware of engaging your core. Our mid-section doesn’t have much “built-in” structural support, so if you rely only on the muscles around your spine to stabilize your back and hold the weight of your upper body, they end up getting overworked — which sounds a lot like what you’re dealing with now.
If you can let your core take on some of that load, those back muscles won’t have to do all the heavy lifting, and I think your situation will gradually improve.

I'm at the point of considering a steroid epidural injection. From what I've read however, it sounds like the relief it can provide is not very long-lasting.
