Main problem I have with the battery is when should I charge it when I use it for sleep tracking? What do you guys do?
I've just downloaded the sleep tracking app - and charged mine on the way home in the car, it's less distracting whilst driving and gets the battery topped up. That plus a charge when having a shower in the morning. Not ideal but I'm trying to resist going back to having a (say) fibit on my wrist as well as a watch...

I find that taking it off and putting it on the charger first thing in the morning works. I keep it on the charger while going through my morning routines. By the time I'm ready to leave, usually about an hour and a half from when I wake up, the watch is fully charged.

Mine has easily been lasting a day. Depending on use, it has between 30-60% of battery left. From 7a-11p on average.

I wear mine all day and all night, then charge it when I get up in the morning, shower, etc.

There's more than enough oomph in the battery for that, including my sleep-tracker use.

My watch must be a factory freak or something.. I can easily get close to two days out of it.

I took mine off the charger at 4am, wore it all day and put it back on around 12:30am and had 47% left.

It was in airplane mode for 4 hours of that time but still more than enough!

I've had my sport gold 42mm for a month and the charge has been lasting two full days.

I've owned mine since June. Never once ran out of battery. Usually end the day with 40-50%. Maybe 30% if I do a 30 min workout (unfortunately that's rare for me).

I turned off the battery complication shortly after I bought the watch. Knowing the remaining charge is simply not important, as long as you charge nightly.

I have 38 mm watch. Currently I am at 26% battery with 15 hours of standby with 3 hours and 15 min watch usage. I also exercised today for an hour with heart rate monitor on. I turn off heart rate monitor except during exercising to save on battery life. Had my watch for 2 weeks now and during a workday I end up with 1/4 of battery left.

42mm SBSS - I took mine off this morning at 5:30am when I got home it had 5% left on the battery. I'm not complaining because I strapped it on at 10:30am the day before so that was a total of 19 hours, 1.5 hours with the Workout app running, several notifications, emails, texts, 2 phone calls, Bluetooth music playing from the Watch to my earbuds during a 45 minute workout, a couple of reminders I responded to, and probably some other things I can't remember right now. This was with all of the fearures running, no power reserve or shutting anything off to conserve the battery. The screen setting is also always on the brightest setting.

I wasn't sure it was going to make it through the night but it did. Those of you that make it DAYS on a single charge I don't know how you do it, maybe mine is defective but it gets me though the day so I'm OK with that.

No problems getting two days of use. I charge it every second night, and use it for notifications during the day, the timer, and for activity tracking. Happy with the battery life

It's fortunate the naysayers don't usually venture this deep into the forums, or...

Hi,
I was thinking about getting an apple watch but would like to know if the Apple Watch battery last the whole day?
Does anyone have issues with it not lasting the entire day?
Thanks.

Easily. Usually up to a day and a half between charges. The only thing to be mindful of is the heart rate sensor running constantly during workouts. That will drain the battery quickly.

Mine is still pretty new so I'm tinkering with it a lot - changing the clock face, etc. But I get more than a day on a charge. I put it on a charging stand at night and take it off the charger at about 7:00 AM. By 10:00 PM I'm still going strong with over 40% left.

I charge Watch over night, use all the next day (since 6 AM to 9 PM). If on the evening battery is over 55% (and for most days it is) I switch battery to safe mode for the night, and next morning I turn Watch to normal mode. This way I can use Watch for full two days (with sleep during nights). On the 2nd day of charging cycle I have still about 25-30% battery at 6-7 PM.

Most people are not going to believe me. I do check at the time, read/reply to emails, texts, answer phone calls. From 7:00 when I wake up and go to work to 5:00 when I get home, I have around 80% - 75% battery remaining. My watch lasts me 3 sometimes 4 days a week. I only look at the glances for BOA, Starbucks and battery percentage. I don't use any of the apps, I do use apple pay on the watch.

I use the watch frequently throughout the day (exercise, messages, etc). The battery lasts me all with about 30-50% left at the end of the day

In a medium/high utilisation, i come home with at least 30% on very long day (work + afterwork...) so absolutely no problem for one day
