Not sure...

My Ipad has bright pixel, that changes colour when I play games and stuff. It is easiest seen when surfing and a white background. Unless I look for it it i can't find it when playing angry birds (great app).

I think it may have been from accedently pressing too hard... I hope not. It is annoying when I see it. I can't be bothered sending it back via post, and then having to re-sync everything on to the new iPad (if replaced).

Best of luck in finding your perfect iPad!

At the time of my writing, 84.62% of people responding to the poll on this thread has what you erroneously call a "perfect iPad".

So it seems that by your definition, "perfection" is not so unattainable after all.

I'm from the UK and obviously the iPad is not out here quite yet. But something that is concerning me a slightly is a thread I read yesterday about someone who had to go through 4 iPads before they got one without any dead pixels.

I just want to know if this was a one off or if it's going to be a common problem.

So did your iPad come with any dead pixels?

Hello Caris,
I just recently bought an ipad from apple and as soon as i saw it on i saw about and estimated 3 pixels out. everyone thought that of course this was all dust particles and it turns out there was about three pieces. This seems to be fairly new problem because i went to my local apple store and i saw a man returning not 2 not 4 but 5! ipads. I overheard his conversation with the manager saying that there were contaminants under all of his screens. The funny thing is is that all of the ipads were 64gb wifi only. and so was mine it might be a problem and yet it might not.
