Try restoring one more time. then don't shutdown, restart, hard reset your phone, until this crap is fixed. 🤦‍♂️😞
But if I restore, it'll restart it, right?

I have an appointment tomorrow at the Apple Store. I don't know if they will be able to help me.

Yep, restoring your device will fix it.

Don't bother going there, all they'll do is run a diagnostic test, then tell you to restore your phone.

I have already restored the phone and I still have the problem.

If I explain the problem with supporting evidence they should help me ... right?

I'm telling you, you're wasting your time going there, erase your phone again, then restore it, then make sure you don't restart it, don't shutdown, don't hard reset it, until apple fix it.

But that's exactly what I did yesterday :( I restored via Finder, didn't restart the phone, but it got stuck again, at 100%.

I'm telling you what worked for me, maybe you had a bad restore, trying again might fix it, or go to apple if you really want, but I wouldn't.

to me, the options are
1) return & replace new set
BUT becos there isn't phones available = no phone/delayed if you don't have a spare
and that may be weeks?
2) just live with it/they'd fix sth along the way or battery require calibration/it'd self stabilise

especially if we are few days in the device
aft the ios15.0.1 i updated it seem to be ok/i occasionally do reboot (probably more often than those who don't)/ whenever some app start acting weird

i unfortunately don't have luxury to set up as new when i intended & did so initially becos the XS isn't talking airdrop 🤷🏻‍♀️ nor my airdrops working appropriately with my macbookpro(with the XS) / i don't even know which airdrop is having problems at the moment 🤦🏻‍♀️/ i give up lol

I understand that it works for you, but we are talking about a bug: its behavior may not be the same everywhere. On my side, the restore only worked until the next full charge.

I already had a replacement on Saturday, due to a problem with screen burn-in. Hope they still have some stock.

90% of these Genius Bar workers, don’t know their heads from their arses, if you don’t want to restore again, try your luck at apple.

Anyone know how long it takes for Apple to resolve these kinds of issues?
Nope, depends on where it is on their list of important fixes, maybe they don’t know what the issue is at the moment lol.

Could be days, weeks, month.

All depends on which apple we get.

Beta 1-7 heaven

Beta 8 onwards train wreck. 🤦‍♂️

Okay so are you saying that it would be better to return my iPhone and go back to my old Android? Because the stuck battery indicator is a big problem and it is not acceptable.

No I’m not saying that, I told you before, try restoring again, you most likely had a bad restore, it fixed the issue for everyone else.

Okay but I have an regular 13. And Coconut displays 93%, not 99%.
Don’t worry about coconut battery, main thing is that your battery percentage is working, enjoy your phone.

Apple will recalibrate the batteries with a software update.

Hope you are telling the truth, I will keep you posted on battery developments. But it is absolutely not normal to waste so little time. Anyway, yesterday my battery had not moved until I restarted: I had gone from 100 to 83%. Maybe the restore unlocked a little something, but there's still a big problem.

There is no problem, if you have been reading this thread, it’s a software issue, if you’re that paranoid, return your phone and go back to your android phone.

A software issue is an issue ; if Apple not fix it in few days, more peoples are inpacted. And we will wait longer.
Correct, that’s the way the tech world works, if only we could click our fingers and make them fix it right now, but we can’t.

Main thing is that the phone is still usable in the meantime.

Restored twice, once as new and once in DFU, it never worked for me

Percentage goes down yes, but wrongly. As already noted it goes down 1% instead of the real 10%. This behavior is still classified as “not working” to me

If not even a DFU restore fixes it and not all phones are like this (like mine before the hard reset) makes me tend to the return. I can live with my old phone another month (or even a year)
