Question is, what do I do with that? I can't see doing anything more than having it sit on my hard drive. I'm not going to frame it and hang it on my wall... I'm not that... Um, whatever...

haha, just for fun, no serious usage for sure. if somebody want to print it and frame it, that would be fine too.

well, apparently first security flaw is out too..lol, pretty quick.....

It actually affect firefox 2.0.0.x as well.

But the detail isn't disclosed, so hopefully nobody would be able to use it, and mozilla get a patch out soon.

Anyway, the risk said to be quite difficult to exploit, need users to click the link in email and goto the attack website and click a link on that website....

Yea, I can see it now.

Guy walks into someone's office.

Oh, I see you've graduated from Harvard. Oh, you mediated negotiations between two feuding countries. You single-handedly ended world hunger. You discovered an entirely new solar system. You donate billions of dollars to all of the world charities every month.

And, oh my, wow, I can't believe it, you downloaded FireFox 3. Well, to be honest, I wasn't sure I was interested in doing business with you. But, since you have a certificate from Mozilla, then I'm ready to sign the contract.

A true humanitarian. FireFox... Wow, now those are some credentials.

Oh, wait, you just downloaded that certificate from the Internet? Where do I go to get mine?

if a guy told me he did all you mentioned, I would think he is crazy anyway.:p

Yeah, who'd donate billions of dollars... If all that money wasn't just sitting in numerous bank accounts collecting interest, imagine the economy. But, at least it's making some rich guy even richer. Who cares about the little people anyway ;)

I just kept it for memory. 10 years from now, I will boot up this macbook pro I am using right now to see my certificate of downloading Firefox 3. :)

But a prize would be good too :p

Well, after following and using all the of the beta releases for months, I've downloaded the final purged everything else and I get this no matter what:

Yeah. It's supposed to be like that I think. Mine is the same thing as well. You have Firefox 3 final though. Because iirc, all the RC releases had version 3.0 written there too, same as the final version.

Strange, because mine looks different, and I downloaded the full version 3.0 and installed it in-place of the most recent "official" 2.x version.

can you post a screenshot of your firefox? and show me this
1. type about:config in urlbar and press enter
2. type useragent into filter
3. grab that. or just tell me if your "general.useragent.extra.firefox" is "firefox/3.0"

I love the planning they put into even the about:config page
This might void your warranty!
and gives you a warning about messing with stuff in there

it is, it has been edited, probably by you (or some addons) previously...

no problem, just double click that line to toggle back to default value.

If I double click that line, I simply get this:

ggagent.jpg

You you telling me to simply manually insert 3.0? Add-on's are as follows:

Although I might have had a theme installed at some point in the past. Anyway, I manually changed the line to Firefox/3.0. Odd how this could happen.
