I wish that my IT department wasn't completely stupid. There seems to be no rhyme or reason in the sites they choose to block. All official firefox sites are among them. Blech.

Does anyone know whether the FF3beta5 will update to the final release through the help -> check for updates in the menu bar or do you need to separately download FF3?

if you want your download to count in the world record the you have to download it separately.. you might even need to download it separately anyway because they are on FF3RC3

I am not trying to take away from the fun of the "world record" goal you keep referring to, but you do realize there currently is no world record for this currently so I'm pretty sure FF is going to have no problem accomplishing this goal.

yes I am quite aware of this, but the more people who get in on the record, the harder it will be for anyone else to break the said record
