Television (in the US) isn't fragmented. (Except for a few highly specialized channels)

It's not like I can only watch ESPN if if have Time Warner.
And only History Channel if I have ATT
And Animal Planet if I only have DISH

There are a few instances in television but its more experimental deals that backfired on someone.
Example that comes to mind is, NFL Sunday Ticket is a deal the NFL regrets big time, they are loosing tons of potential revenue.
Maybe that will be the case with exclusive deals at some point we can only hope.

Ultimately if the artists make less money by going exclusive, chances are they won't make the same mistake twice.

Exclusives still suck for the consumer in the end, I just wish Spotify and Apple would battle for the consumer with things like user interface, sound quality, product integration, product features, instead of we have artist "blah blah" and they don't.

It's akin to when EA scored exclusivity with the NFL. The NFL2K series was legitimate competition until EA found a way to essentially monopolize it. Then of course 2K sports did the same with basketball. The main result being the consumer getting shafted.

So this is acceptable but there was a blanket ban on confederate flags?

I'm not American, I just loathe hypocrisy and double standards.

It's becoming fragmented with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon doing originals (though TBF, only Netflix is making widely-watched original content right now). Assuming Hulu and Amazon get their act together, we'll have to be subscribed to all kinds of things to watch tv too.

she's real.. she's just not a 'real' doctor.

in contrast, i believe Dr. Phil actually has a PhD.
?
Westheimer earned a master's degree in sociology from The New School[9] and an Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University. She completed post-doctoral work in human sexuality at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, training with pioneer sex therapist Helen Singer Kaplan.[3] She has written several books on human sexuality, including Dr. Ruth's Encyclopedia of Sex and Sex for Dummies. The full version of Dr. Ruth's Encyclopedia of Sex is currently available online.[10]

This counts for something right?

Dr. Dre, Pharrell and Taylor Swift are great reasons to not sign up for Apple Pay.

The more I can avoid accidentally listening to that garbage, the better.

Yep. Gotta be safe. Last time I used Apple Pay Pharrell showed up and sang Happy until I lost my mind. Gotta get that Apple Pay off my watch/phone!

;)

So glad to see that the Macrumors.com user base are old fashioned conservatives. That's the one and only problem that I have with Tim Cook. But as long as Apple continues to grow and expand under his leadership, I'll forgive him.

It's funny how Apple can remove a historical game based on a flag yet bring in music that glorifies killing, illegal drug use, rape, homophobic thoughts and racism.
I'm certainly not offended because I grew up on this music but I fine it ironic that not less than a week ago Apple was on this crusade to save the world.

I'm hoping Apple has more video game music on Apple Music. I love listening to Final Fantasy soundtracks and things like that. Great ambient music to play in the background. Those albums are on iTunes so maybe?

From Wikipedia

"Westheimer earned a master's degree in sociology from The New School[9] and an Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University. She completed post-doctoral work in human sexuality at New York-Presbyterian Hospital,"

Her doctorate degree is in teaching/education.
She however is not a medical doctor, or of psychology.Which are more typically come to mind with the prefix Dr.

Perhaps you didn't realize that the NFL and DirecTV agreed last year on a new 8 year deal...?

Where did he get his PhD? In which field?

UCLA gave him an Honorary PhD......

Where did Dr Pepper get its Ph.D.?

Dr. Pepper, like Coca Cola and Pepsi... and most soft drinks, actually... were invented by pharmacists... Pharm.D is a doctorate... but like lawyers, they don't use the title doctor.

We're really worried about nicknames and pen names here? I don't think Dr. Geek from the Blu Blockers commercials has an actual PhD either... doesn't make him any less awesome.

Yes, they should all be accessible via Apple Music. Basically everything that is already available in the iTunes Store of your specific country.

You blame Tim Cook for conservatives hanging out on a non-Apple-owned website and complaining about Apple products???
