3hrs with a Rezound

I had an upgrade so I picked up a Rezound today. My last Android was a Droid X..... So I thought I'd check it out.Screen was awesome,UI much improved, smoother, quicker. Kind of cheap tiny bezel around edge of screen glass. Would not dare to use it without a case that covers the edge of the screen as it still sets above the edge of the phone. Not having to use a case for protection was one of the reasons I was looking at it.It was fun to play around with but as I watched the battery quickly dwindling and the task ahead of setting up everything involved in a Android phone I took it back..... I just want a Aluminum backed 4" iPhone ..... Come on !

Get the Razr. Then in 6 weeks, get the next greatest phone with .001% better specs that runs Soft Serve Poodle. 6 weeks after that, do it again.

Or get an iPhone and enjoy it for a year or two.

This school of thought is one that makes absolutely no sense to me. Since when is progress a bad thing? You do realize there is no rule that says when a new phone comes out that you are obligated to purchase it..... The good thing is that because the phones progress so quickly, the next time you do decide to purchase a phone you will have a significant upgrade as opposed to the incremental upgrade that one particular phone making software company does.....

I got a Droid RAZR a couple of days ago and I am completely satisfied. The design is drop dead gorgeous and makes the iPhone look like old fashioned "fat" technology. No kidding you look at it just like I did when I saw the first RAZR years ago and think... "How did they do that?!?!" The metal frame and kevlar back feel very nice in the hand and it is very solid much like an Apple product, yet it is very light. The small hump at the top doesn't hurt the design at all and really where else could they fit the speaker, all connectors, 3.5mm jack and camera? The rest of the phone is too thin for all of that, but it makes it sit nice and gives you something to hold.

The phone is fast and I don't have any issues with the screen. The iPhone screen might look better, but only in the land of MacRumors is a 3.5" display much better then a 4.3" display. Also I have never owned a phone with such good reception. This thing hardly ever loses a bar and downloads over 3G are about 500-700 kbit/s faster then my Droid 2 had from the same location. That tells me it has a killer antenna system. I haven't even tried 4G LTE, but I hear it's very fast.

Honestly you really can't appreciate the RAZR until you handle it and feel the design. It's industrial design at it's best. I know many of you around here think only Apple is capable of engineering anything thin or beautiful, but I'd put the Droid RAZR design up against anything from Apple land.

So far I am enjoying it and finally with MotoCast it is just as easy to sync iTunes and iPhoto as it is with an iPhone. You do have to select what you actually want to download onto the phone otherwise it is just streamed, but it is an easy and excellent solution. Besides it's something unique and different. iPhone... iPhone everyone has a stink in' iPhone!

Buy whatever you want, however the Droid RAZR is an excellent choice if you want an Android phone and don't want an ugly piece of plastic. Otherwise you can get an iPhone 4S which is a great phone as well.
