Dropped 5s after not even 2 weeks

Yeah I get it guys. I know it was my fault, was just a really stupid mistake. I had it in my coat pocket that I usually zip up but I was bending down to pick up a wrapper I accidentally dropped and it just fell out. It's not that bad and you can't see it with a case, just wish it wouldn't have happened in case I need to sell it. My 4S was made a lot better in my opinion, but oh well.
I just don't understand why you would use that case for protection. It's obvious that it gives none. And then you go back and replace the case for another one? Put on your big boy pants and get a case that will protect your phone. There are a million out there.

Had the Gold iPhone 5s since launch and naked. Dropped a few times by sliding out while sitting. Barley any scratches, just a few light ones on the edge but not noticeable. I will never cover up a beautiful thing.

bc he wants to slide it around on his desk at school

I rarely drop my iphone 5, too, but the only time I did drop it I bent the body and nicked the sides pretty good. It fell on concrete and rolled a few times. Needless to say, I was quite upset. My replacement iphone 5 now sits in an Otterbox Commuter. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore. I'm not too concerned about how it looks. The way it functions is more important to me.

The fact that you doubt the way I dropped it, makes you a retard. It did accidentally fall out of an unzipped coat pocket. I've never dropped it at school. The case has scratch marks from my desk at school though. But I put the phone in the pocket on my coat that zips up (where you can put your hands), and I didn't zip it up like I usually do. So when I bent over, it fell out. Now stop being a stupid.

The fact that you're trying to explain how you dropped it to a random person on the interwebz doesn't make you much different. ;)

It's a phone. A PHONE. P-H-O-N-E

:D

In all seriousness, check out CruzerLite. I've dropped my phone numerous time and never had a problem.

Geez, some harsh posts here. OP, if you drop your phones "hundreds of times" and don't want scratches you'll need a better case. Not sure how long you've been following the iPhone but did you read about all of the brand new phones that were scratched/dented right out of the box? Aluminum is not very strong, you could probably dent it with your fingernail if you tried. If you want a super thin case there's a trade-off.

If you've dropped your 4S so many times without issue, when you got your 5S, did you consider an otter box case? Seems as though you drop things very frequently which makes you a wonderful candidate for a much sturdier case. That or a much sturdier phone. Perhaps a case that has a lanyard so you can tie it to your person.

wait a few months...the power button is bound to fail - it always does....

then they will swap with a new one

Nope. Not even close. He dropped it and there's obvious damage. They will say the power button failed as a result.

You need a better case and perhaps one that you can tie to yourself because no one should drop anything as much as you claim to drop your phones. Perhaps a plastic, less expensive phone is in order.

nope. i dropped mine...had a way worse dent and they replaced it. they chalk it down as cosmetic damage. plus power/home buttons are prone to fail.

and this has happened to be before. both the home and power button failed...but months after the drop...

A have a super thin aluminum bumper case on my 5s. I dropped it and the case flew off. That was the only damage. The phone feels naked in the thin bumper case plus it gets some protection. It's a choice you make. No case means definite damage or scratches when dropped.

Totally should've gotten a thicker case. I like the Caudabe Veil a lot, but it's certainly not for people who drop their phones a lot. That much should've been clear when you bought it.
