Im such a clumsy idiot, was having a quick pee, text came through and iphone dropped out of my hand into the toilet, quickly fished it out and was top half submerged.

i rarely use my iphone in the toilet but was actually watching an important football game on sky go so i didnt want to leave it

If you have AppleCare Plus, it'll cost you the $50 deductible.

end results I bought her a droid razr
you should sell this on ebay as is after placing in a bag of rice for 3 days.
Heck even try to place in oven low temp for a few hours worked for me.
Pray that it comes on when plugged in to charger, and ebay will bring you more dollas.

Selling it on eBay sounds like a scam to me. If you say in the sale description that it fell in the toilet, nobody's going to want it. Just take it to Apple & pay the $.

If you bought your iPhone recently and paid with AMEX or Discover, they will reimburse you the replacement cost of the phone under accidental damage.

I have read this topic with great interest but there is just one thing I need clarified:

You say that you were pi$$ing and playing a game when you received a text and dropped the phone correct? Am I to believe that that it was, in fact, the sound of the text message tone which startled you causing you to drop the phone down the loo?

If this is correct, did the 'jump' also cause you to pee on the seat at that exact same moment in time?

I also dropped mine in the toilet and they replaced my phone... $49 deductible. I wish I had drop mine while I was pissing but was not like that... LOL

i dropped my iphone 4 into a river a year and a half ago and it still works perfectly fine.

i also know people who dropped their phone into the toilet... never really understood how is that even possible
