We are not talking about a dual sim adaptor for jailbroken iphone, but a real extra slim phone. The talkase got good reviews, except people complaining about battery life, that last more 2 or 3 days rather than a week, but which device connected in bluetooth could last 1 week for such a small form factor ?
I'll give a try, I have no hope Apple will release any dual sim phone 1 day...

ah, a recent review: http://www.techolo.com/2015/05/talkase-mini-pocket-bluetooth-phone.html

Many thanks for sharing this review!

I am currently looking for a dual- or triple-sim solution (with simultaneous connection, so no simple adapters) and found one called G1 BlueBox: http://www.simore.com/en/dual-triple-sim-card-adapter-bluetooth-ios-g1-bluebox.html
Anyone has tried this one?

And are there any other solutions available?

i totally want a dual sim iPhone so i can finally put to death all these AT&T vs t-mobile vs verizon vs sprint arguments about coverages. who the hell cares. use verizon and t-mobile at the same time and use t-mobile to save money on your verizon bill. instead of paying $15 for 1 gb of overage you buy 5 gb for $30 from t-mobile
or you get an AT&T sim when your in a bad verizon area , etc etc

Yep. Right now I carry with me 2 iPhones - 1 Verizon and 1 AT&T. Interestingly enough, neither is a clear winner. Some areas, AT&T has better coverage and some areas, it's Verizon. T-Mobile is always worse than one or the other (oftentimes both) in the areas I've been to.

A simultaneous multi-network SIM would work, too. :)

What dual SIM solutions are you guys using right now?
Still using my old dual sim Nokia... although the link from your earlier post looks interesting - did you tried it by now, or other solution from them ?

Time for phone manufacturers and carriers to move away from sim cards. Should be able to activate carrier settings and a phone number via the OS or a carrier app. You want to be on verizon, select it from a list.

No haven't tried it. The big big big disadvantage with this device is you can't use Wifi (on your iPhone) and the G1 BlueBox an the same time.
Thinking about getting a cheap dual SIM Nokia, too. Which one you got?

The G1 BlueBox working on Bluetooth, why the wifi not working simultaneously ?

At the moment im using my old Nokia 101. i was thinking about the X-Twin dual sim adapter, it's not dual standby, but better than carry two phones in my pockets...

do dual sim not apply to apple
Have you seen a dual SIM iPhone? That answers your question.

I would love one. It would be great for those who have two phones, one with a work number and another with a personal, or just tech enthusiasts who enjoy testing multiple networks.

Well you have to enable the Hotspot on your iPhone when using the G1 BlueBox. Thats why you can't use WiFi on your iPhone when using this solution.

Hmmm, the X-Twin dual sim adapter wouldn't be suitable for me as I need my sims to be simultaneously active.

Tnx for clarifying this, i had no idea you need to use Hotspot with the G1 blueBox. The ideal solution would be having something like the X-Twin adapter but with dual standby...

This feature would be awesome for someone like me who travels international. I can receive texts or viber calls through my home number and insert an international sim to make calls in that region. I doubt this will happen on the iPhone 7. I can be optimistic more or less on iPhone 9 or 10. Apple is always late on arrival.

That would be even more useless than adding more memory.

You nearly got me there! Was about to start making an argument against your stupid statement but then remembered a saying - Never argue with fools, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience!

Considering Apple is rumored to be considering dumping the headphone jack to further reduce the size of the phone, I suspect dual SIM's is way down the list of their priorities.

Is using a VOIP app not workable? Many people use Google Voice to be portable, no?

No you mean it would bring you up to my level. I am not at the level where I call people names. How third grade.

After owning every iPhone since the 1st day they were released, I decided to buy a Microsoft/Nokia Lumia dual sim smartphone for the reasons many people have stated on here. Is it as nice as the iPhone? Hardly! But, as a frequent International traveler, it became too much of a pain to either:
1) carry one phone and remove the phone case trade sim cards, put the case on, etc.

or

2) own two phones and carry both of them around.
There is almost NO reason for Apple to not offer this feature.

I would also mention that my Lumia phone in addition to having dual sim capability, allows me to use and upgrade capacity with a micro SD card and is about $600 cheaper. But those are different topics. It's just disappointing that Apple - who is so good at most of what they do, to handcuff themselves needlessly.
