They are doing good stuff with their hair products. Eufy is doing really well with S1 Pro and X10 Pro Robot-vacs. Dyson is loosing this game I think.

They do have hoovers which are very very good with air suction
I owned their vacuum cleaner, it's good but it used to have no rivals and now it totally does. And I surely didn't appreciate the gimmicky "engine" design that totally gave Hot Wheels / Fisher-Price vibes to my house.
In most categories, they basically guarantee high performance for a price that's higher than less marketing intensive equivalents.
I think this is mostly going to be some more marketing for them, trying to give the company an image of cool tech maker instead of people who help you clean your house (cool enough for me but still).

And yet as both these and AirPods are wireless and therefore don't support lossless sound, they perform worse than most sets of $50 wired headphones. Expensive fashion accessories, not serious headphones.
Curious what your measuring stick of "perform worse" and "not serious" are?

I see these as blingy wireless headphones for people that want wireless headphones and ones with the longest battery life possible. The fact they can be customized to look like the buyer wants is a plus.

I'm no audiophile, but if I were "serious", I wouldn't be looking at these or ANY wireless headphones. Get the right tool for the job is my philosophy and if you think you can hear every nuanced bit of lossless music, then go buy those $2K headphones that will reproduce it correctly and go sit in your acoustically silent room instead of on a noisy street or bus/train or wherever wireless headphones take you.

if they sucked the wax out of your ears and dried your hands at the same time they'd be magic

They aren't the best lookers but some appealing features.

55 hours battery life with ANC is superb (think only Sennheiser Momentum 4s have longer with 60 hours).

40mm drivers seem to be the standard for wireless headphones, but the larger frequency range is appealing. Expect these will be very bass heavy.

I'll only be buying these to try if there is Lossless support and Dolby Atmos support (without any kind of additional equipment).

Huh. I normally love copper, but for some reason I just don't like that look. Some of the matt plastic options look lovely though - I especially like the blue and the red.

Just a shame that dyson campaigned for the UK to leave the EU and then moved to singapore.
Heh, I came to say the same thing. What a pillock.

Not as ugly as Apple's headphones.
I know right?! AirPods Max looks like old bars of soap! And let's not even start on the bra.

Headphones with an air purifying mask? How ridiculous. Though I suppose there's a target audience for that.
Dyson thought that too...

They make great vacuums and hairdryers, so obviously their headphones will be awesome. Pretty much the same technology, right??

Was with ya until’joystick’ who tf wants a joystick on there headphones Make it simple if you need a joystick its too complicated Bad design.

Dyson is all about design.
And their design is always utterly kiddish.
Not sure how they manage to survive.
Totally disagree. Their cordless vacuums are awesome, as are their hair tools. Love the design and they work awesome! Would not buy anything else. They are the Apple of vacuums and hair design to most people I know.

So guess you think that way about Apple too?

Don't know about headphones, but their vacuums are the best, period.
I've had Dyson vacuums since 2012 and despite all the copycats since the last 2-3 years, I'm certainly not looking back.
Contrarian view: we've had three Dysons, two corded, one cordless. Bought a Shark when the last corded Dyson died, and it's three times the machine as the Dyson. But to each their own.

The design looks very familiar and it's not bad at all. At home I do have a few Dyson products from hair dryer to vacuum. Great fit while vacuuming?

I am no acoustic engineer, so correct me if I am wrong:

Human hearing typically picks up sounds between 20Hz and 20.000Hz. I am not even sure that Bluetooth and compressed audio formats can faithfully reproduce sounds throughout that range, but let us suppose they could. Why one earth are these headphones sampling at 384,000Hz for active noise cancellation? Generally when measuring continuous quantities like sound levels, one oversamples at 2 or 3 times the highest rate you are interested in to avoid aliasing. For active noise cancellation I assume this would be 40,000Hz or possibly 60,000Hz. Is there any real advantage to sampling at 384,000Hz?

Sorry if I am being obtuse, but this 384kHz number sounds a little like the volume dial on the guitar in the movie Spinal Tap that goes up 11, or the old electronics shops that used to scam consumers by using a stereo system's wattage as a measure of performance.

If you could fit different covers on the sides to allow the headphones to be open back or closed back they would be a lot more interesting to me.

If anyone is interested in similarly-styled headphones and don't want to patronize Dyson, the Beoplay H8/9/X all have a very similar vibe. And come from an actual audio brand, to boot.

I have one corded and three cordless Dysons. All of them still have original battery and decent runtime.

I have extremely thick hair and if I don’t dry my hair it stays damp for hours. Switched to Dyson years ago the temperature control itself was worth it used to constantly cause heat damage with expensive Italian hairdryers. Dyson dryer died and I didn’t want to drop the money to replace it. Got a Shark hairdryer and it lasted a little over a month. I had cleaned it twice their process for cleaning is to take a wet Q-tip and clean each vent then let it sit vent down to dry. Dumbest design I have ever seen then just flat out died with no blockage. Thank god Costco didn’t hassle me on the return. Got a refurb Dyson dryer (newer model than the first) running strong for a couple years now and easy to clean.

That all being said, I have never paid full retail for a Dyson product. The sale price to longevity ratio has been more than good for me.

I will not be buying a pair, as I find them rather ugly and bulky, but I'm a bit surprised they're not more expensive...

The less than 40 year olds the target market. Remember how Beats got started. Was not for purest audiophile’s. The audiophile's that crack me up. Hook up vinyl records players to digital systems. Want audiophile quality, analog high quality amplifier and speakers. Most today, including myself, the digital sound quality great when factoring in the convenience.

Kirby is where it's at for vacuums. Super expensive, but they'll pick up more than a Dyson or any other brand could dream of.
