Yikes!

7 days for shipping AND you paid for it? I used the coupon code for free shipping, hope it's not longer than 7 days... :(

Can't help FedEx taking 5 business days to get across the country from CA.

I am not sure at all why they started using FedEx instead of Priority mail like before.

lOOks like a bit of a geography & economics refresher coarse maybe in order before ragging on the BEST iPhone 4 case manufacturer there is IMHO .
I don't know if I would go that far!! You forget about a little company called Element who has sold more cases than all the vendors on this board combined. Their quality is second to none but their customer service sucks. But NOBODY is going to catch them, in sales numbers or quality. Just stating the facts.

So I took my Otterbox Defender off, installed a Invisible Shield and then my new E13ecton S4, Wow this thing is nice!!!! I Love it... going from the otterbox to this its a little slippery but Im glad i got it....its like having a new phone all over again...

no one will match them in sales and no one will match them in making and selling a case that kills your reception most of the time.

Well from the last couple of pages in this thread, its doing a pretty good job at killing people's signal as well so I wouldn't go there right now. I had trouble with mine but nobody believed me and now more and more people are coming forward, I suspect this case actually is no better than the Vapor when it comes right down to it. I have had both and really didn't see a difference. Wrapping metal around the antenna just don't work. It doesn't matter who makes it or the shape its made in, it still kills signal. This case if starting to show that its really no different. I think their hybrid case would be the way to go. It would be the only one I would even consider buying, but at almost 90 bucks I won't be getting that one either. That is ridiculous for half plastic and half aluminum. 15 dollars worth of material that is being inflated to 90!! No thanks.

How am I ragging on them? By hoping my order doesn't take 7 days to ship???

FYI.... my order that I placed 7 days ago, still has not shipped.

Perhaps you can explain to me how my geographical location is preventing them from getting my 'paid for' product to the post office... I'll be waiting.

For those that had this case for a while, hows the exterior holding up? Any peeling, flaking, or small dings from constant use or just frequent table lay? I've read anodize is stronger than any paint coating so I was just wondering.

I have the brushed finish and it's holding up great. I love this thing and no, it has not affected my reception (or at least not noticeably). I just ordered the red polished top. I have had a couple of the other aluminum cases and this one is for me.

The case still holds up nicely, took it off once every two weeks to remove dust (due to my pocket has lots of dust, which i wonder why =_=), other than that one thing i have to mention to people who are interested to buy is that DO NOT over tighten your screws, the screws are good, but as for the allen key... it wears out easily, i'm still searching ups and downs desperately to get myself a dedicated screw driver for this case, it'll be too expensive to just order from the website as the shipping cost to Australia freakin burns my pocket.

Anyone out there knows where can i get this dedicated hex screwdriver??

It's a 1/64" hex key, so anywhere that carries that size. Some hardware stores carry that small of an allen key, as well as some bigger electronics stores.

guys, was wondering if we change to the new iphone in the near future, what are we gonna do with the s4 case..

Was wondering if say e13ctron comes out with the new model's case, we could return the s4 for a discount for the new model?

I'd have to guess that this would be against better business judgement, but I don't speak for the company. How many other companies allow you to "trade in" old accessories for newer ones when you switch devices? Companies sell accessories for existing products, and can only guarantee that they will fit said products. Would Mazda or Cadillac give me credit for accessories/performance mods I made to my existing cars, when/if I buy newer models of those same cars?

yeah I understand that. was just thinking what a pity these cases would go to waste after we've changed phones..

Oh trust me...I know that feeling as much as anybody. With my love (or sickness..however you want to define it! :D ) for cases, when I made the jump to the iPhone 4 from my 3G and 3GS, I had 70 + cases for that form factor that I could no longer use on a current device. But, I was the one who bought them, and they still fit the device I got them for, so I couldn't ask for any concessions from the companies that made them. :(

Cool Jon! We can kiss earphone adapters goodbye!

For benefit of others who's considering to do likewise, here's the modification I've done. Disclaimer: It's a relatively easy task cutting away the black plastic, but do it at your own risk!

Also, I initially had some issues removing the screws from the case using the included allen tool, probably due to over-tightening. Fortunately, managed to grab a dedicated allen screwdriver, which makes loosening the screws a breeze!

Where did you get the allen screwdriver? My hex key is starting to wear out and i'm searching up and down over the net and still no luck getting them

People who have ordered: Did you guys get a tracking number?

Also, has anyone ordered recently? I ordered friday, I'm just trying to gauge how long free delivery would take.

I guess I'm just impatient and want this case =P

If anyone is interested in the matte black/blue I have (haven't used it), I'll let it go for $50 + $5 shipping. I would love to keep it but need the money. :-(
