any more news on the verizon one? seriously how long could it possibly take to make the button opening larger? its not like they have to make molds or anything! just change the cad file and start machining!

I received my e13ctron s4 Case earlier this week after ordering Xmas Day, the turnaround was amazingly fast. Shipped Monday, two days after Xmas Day. Ordered polished Black/Black with additional Blue top.

I'm one of the early Vapor4 adopters / users that have had very little signal degradation after my modifications of the Vapor4. Until now the Vapor4 was my Case of choice.

With that said I'm VERY impressed with this e13ctron s4 Case. Fit & finish is by all means 5 star. Finish is as good as Elements Vapor4 which as we known is superb. The fit is on a higher level than of Vapor4, with the precession of the very functional molded plastic liner inserts. The lay on the table depth is very precise and deeper than that on the Vapor4, which is a plus. Oh yes I've experienced no issues with signal strength, GPS accuracy or lag and wi-fi strength. This case rocks, the search is OVER for me :D.

A thanks is due to OP'er chris975d for his review, which pointed me to e13ctron's site .

Happy New Year

Hey zornet, I also have a Vapor and I'm having huge reception loss. What did you do to modify it and did it work well? I really love my vapor but it basically makes my ip4 a paperweight when I use it, so any mod to make it work would be greatly appreciated. I'm guessing you put some sort of barrier between the phone's edge and the interior of the vapor case?

Thanks for your help!!

Rydog in an attempt on staying on topic I attempted to PM you the the info you're requesting. No luck as you're a new member w/o PM privileges . You're going to need to use the "Advance Search" tool for post in the main Vapor4 thread that I'd posted (zornet). Use these key words of modifications, VHB, insulation, insulating, pin-striping, continuity and shrink-wrap. With that said the e13ctron s4 is my case of choice :D. Good Luck.

Cool Jon! We can kiss earphone adapters goodbye!

For benefit of others who's considering to do likewise, here's the modification I've done. Disclaimer: It's a relatively easy task cutting away the black plastic, but do it at your own risk!

Also, I initially had some issues removing the screws from the case using the included allen tool, probably due to over-tightening. Fortunately, managed to grab a dedicated allen screwdriver, which makes loosening the screws a breeze!

where did you get this allen tool? what size is it?

i had both the atomic and vapor, no signal issues at all. but i didn't like them that much. i end up selling them.

i've been using e13ctron for months now and i love it! i have 2 back plates, light gray and aluminum clear. front plates are orange, blue, red, aluminum clear and light gray. whenever i take it off, it feels different. i got use to it like its part of my iphone. it feels great, it looks great and i have no reception issues with it. plus, jacob of e13ctron is a great guy to deal with. fast replies and very fast shipping!

you must have spent quite alot on e13ctron then, even if you'd received either your blue or red top for free initially.

enjoying my blue/free gold top with my clear bottom. but as time goes by, the thoughts of getting other colour combos are just intensifying.. lol guess I have to exercise self control as this phone would probably only last another 1 and a 1/2 yrs over the duration of my contract.

Does anyone else have fluctuating signal strength? Mine drops 1 bar and a couple seconds-a minute later, it goes back up 1 bar and repeats. I think this has been draining my battery. I only started noticing it after I put the case on with no new apps installed.

Agreed! Ready to order mine!!

^I'm on the same boat. Returned my aluminum and patiently waiting for the hybrid! Hopefully it will solve the reception issue I was having.

I talked to the owner a few days ago and he said it would still be a few weeks before the Verizon case would be available but the current case would still work with the verizon phone.

That looks awesome, I really like grey and orange. I think my next case from them will the matte dark grey.

I'm starting to think I should have bought it with black screws instead, give it a more tactical stealthy look.

This case reminds me of my Walther P99 airsoft gun lol.

Just received my refund for the all aluminum case and while emailing, I asked when they were expecting to release the hybrid. Here is the response I received:

"couple weeks- (my favorite thing to say) lol

but we just got the last piece we were waiting for to set up our new mill so mid march should be good to go"

Looks like they're pretty close to production with the hybrids!

Really? Even with the moved mute switch? Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, the current case will fit the Verizon iPhone, but the hole just isn't lined up perfectly. The switch is still operational, however, and the case fits over the phone with no issue. See the orange/light gray case in the pictures I've attached below to see what the current s4 looks like on the Verizon iPhone.
