e13ctron aluminum case Full Review

These cases are awesome! read the entire thread last night to see all the pictures :D

I saw a few people had theirs up for sale in the marketplace, which would be great but I dont have enough posts. I dont think I can swing full price for one of these being on a college budget, but we'll see. their 15% makes it really tempting. if anyone has one they want to sell, feel free to email me. should be able to do so from my profile. or PM.

Also thinking of picking up either a transparent or aluminum back plate for my phone.. couple these with my zagg shield and applecare+ and I should be good to go :)

I do find the find to be a bit wide in my hands. but I love the overall form factor and the look of it. I change cases way too often. for what I have invested in this configuration, I will keep it a while.

^^ agreed. pics please. that was the combo I was thinking of going with. did you go all aluminum or get the hybrid?
 
I just ordered a blue/black hybrid for my white iPhone 4S, shipping is USPS (I've had bad luck with Fedex Home Delivery before). Hopefully it won't take too long to get it. $65 with the discount.

The way I looked at it was I knew I'd end up buying 2 or 3 $20-$30 cases before I found one I liked so I'd rather just buy one $65 case that I know I'll like.

I went with the hybrid because I'm still a bit scared of the signal issues with these types of cases, and even though I don't have signal strength issues here, I thought I better be safe by going the least attenuating route.
 
How long do these guys usually take to ship? I ordered on the weekend and mine hasn't shipped yet as far as I know. I'm really looking forward to trying this case.
 
I placed my order last night and just got the shipping confirmation hour ago. I paid for Priority shipping :D can't wait
 
Maybe it depends on the color/combos you guys chose? What'd you pick?

I wish i could go legit, but i cant swing $60 for a case. I'm about to order a chinese knock off of one of these for my 4S (they're calling it the e13ctron v4 Pro). I'll post up pics of it once it gets here. Just gotta decide on colors.. Hmmm..

Hmm.. Thats an interesting proposal. I'm going home for the weekend. Wonder how much it would take to get my uncle to fire up one of the CNC's.. I'm sure he wouldn't mind measuring and writing a program to cut out two pieces of aluminum to fit around the iPhone while allowing room for the two plastic pieces for which I don't have the dimensions :p squashed my own idea there..

I ordered another for my wife on the 17th. I see the order when I log into their site but nothing on shipping or backorder. I even emailed them to make sure the order is placed but no response.

I also placed my order on 10/19. After a few emailed/days, I finally just got a response saying that the case will ship today. We shall see!

I placed my order on Thursday Priority shipping etc still nothing.Ive had a response saying it would be shipped Mon or Tues and that they were v sorry.Still not shipped lol.

I'll just put it down to them being extremely busy what with all the new 4s owners and people wanting there cases although i'd like it asap :D

I've just had a response within 30 mins of emailing them.I must say there customer services have responded the same day on each occasion :).

"it will ship today or tomorrow for sure, I have it on the table".

That's the same exact response I got. True to their word, it shipped the very next day. Must say I should have gone with USPS instead of FEDEX. It shipped yesterday, and my estimated delivery date is Nov 1. That's a lot of waiting!

I've had bad experiences with Fedex "Home Delivery" (which is different from regular Fedex I think). Last time I had a package shipped by them, Fedex dropped it off at USPS in my city instead of at my address and then USPS took another 3 days to deliver it . :confused:

So I chose USPS for my e13ctron case. I hope it's fast enough.

I emailed today as well and was told it would go out today but I still haven't seen a shipping notification.

That's exactly what I ordered only for a white iPhone instead of black. I hope it looks as goods as it does on that black phone!
