From that page:
Will existing customers be able to redeem their New Every Two credit?

Yes, existing customers will be able to take advantage of their New Every Two credit if eligible, and use it towards the purchase of iPhone (may not be available at all agent locations).

and right below that...

Will Verizon Wireless be offering an early upgrade promotion?

No, Verizon Wireless is not offering any early upgrade promotion at this time.

Now that we know there's no Droid X/AT&T iphone upgrade plan, do you think VZW will be flexible in giving people 2-3 month early upgrades?

I think it's BS that Verizon isn't letting any existing customers upgrade early.
on 2/10 of last year I switched to Verizon from at&t because I was sick of the horrible coverage and now exactly a year later, they come out with an iPhone. They should at least offer some sort of prorated upgrade option instead of paying full retail ($599/$699), or they shouldn't have changed their policy about upgrades. At least with at&t they allowed customers to upgrade early.

Then you should have stayed with AT&T dude. And i can see the countless threads now for people get the iPhone 4 on verizon now and are upset because they can't get the iPhone 5 months later for a discount. I don't get why people feel they are always entitled to something at a discount.

I know, I can just imagine the countless threads near the VZ iphone release date about how Verizon is screwing its customers and tons of whining:D

I do think the sub-2 month early upgrade request is pretty reasonable, the one year early request not so much.

Its reasonable and they might do an exception for you but they dont have to.
Give it a shot and hope for the best.

+1 I'm awaiting the "How to get out of Verizon ETF and come back to AT&T" Threads :)

That would be funny:D

Ok, but here's the deal. I'm eligible for an annual upgrade....I can go to Verizon's page and see promo pricing for any phone. Yet when I do the eligibility test for iPhone, it says no upgrade til July.

Now go to Apple's site and it says that yes I am eligible....plus I called Customer service and they too see the annual upgrade.

So what gives? Which is it?

Just buy from Apple? Why does it show two different dates though?

I am due for an upgrade at the end of March, but would love to get the iPhone when it come out likely in the first week of February. Is there any realistic chance a Verizon rep would move up my upgrade date so I could get the VZW iPhone at launch? Is anyone going to try this/have experience with it?

I know that Verizon is removing the upgrade after 1 year after a 2 year contract, but the end of March represents the 20 month mark in my contract.

On VZW site it says at the bottom of the iPhone site You're eligible for an upgrade, but right above that it says my number and not yet 7/20/11 as my date. At the bottom it says I will receive an email confirming this and 2 hours later no email. Anyone know which do I believe? I though on VZW if you have a 2 year data contract you can upgrade every year for the promo price but if you wait for the new ever two you get more off the promo price. Anyone have any insight? I bough a droid in november of 2009 shouldn't I be ok to purchase the iPhone for the promo price on Feb 10th?

Same thing with mine too. Sorry didn't see your post as I was writing mine. I wonder what is going on?

Are you guys the main line on your plan? I'm the secondary line, and it only lets me upgrade 20 months into the 2 year plan :(

I bet Apple's site shows that you're eligible. I called customer service and they now show the annual upgrade as well on my account.

I hope I don't have to call and fight with them on the 3rd. I hope that once its up for order, I can sign in and my account will trigger the upgrade pricing like it does for every other phone they sell.

Still, this is frustrating and they need to fix. The annual upgrade is still valid for us and the new changes are for contracts AFTER the 16th. Even still, its not the 16th yet so it should show up...especially since it shows for Apple.

Yea mine says im not eligible on vzw site it will offer but when i go to upgrade phone i could get the droid x for 199 still. That has to be promo pricing not retail. They sure better respond to me i wrote an email about this situation. I just want to know ill be available to get it on pre order the 3rd.

Well I called Verizon and they couldn't do an early upgrade :(

Although the rep told me that I'd have a better chance at a manager approval if I try after Feb 3rd.

When does your contract expire? Does your verizon account online show an upgrade? That's what I'm dealing with...one place saying one thing and another place saying the other. How about Apple's link?

March 27, both links show that date

So I just got a tweet from verizon support. They are apparently correcting the discrepancies and saying that annual upgrades will not be offered.

I think this is ridiculous, since customer service just told me they did. What's the point in having an upgrade eligible and now I can use it for anything but that.
