Apps Easily - New To-Do / List making app. More codes added June 21st.

Hi folks,

Just in case you haven't noticed the new update (details a few posts up) has been released.

I'm about ready to submit the next update to Apple and I'll get some details up when I finally get the screens done.

Ok here's the screenies of the new feature for the next release. It's hardly groundbreaking but it is handy, especially for those of us who use Easily for grocery lists.

A "Tally" feature has been added and when enabled for any list allows you to add a value to items. As you then check items off the list as completed Easily will add the cost of the item to a running total for the list which is displayed at the top of the screen.

Needless to say this also works on Apple Watch, with the exception that you can't add values to items on the watch, but if theres interest I can add that as well.

I've also added some more images, mainly food based ones, for the next release as well.

Hi Stu, I've got your app on my iPhone 6, iPad 4 and iPad mini 2, it works perfectly on all of them. (Haven't fully tested it on AW yet.)

My other half bought the app this morning and installed it on iPhone 5 and iPad 4, all on latest iOS.

He managed to use it for a few minutes on his iPad but it now crashes instantly on both devices. He's deleted and reinstalled it, restarted both devices and it hasn't fixed it. Any ideas?

[Edited: now working perfectly on both devices, it was an iCloud problem, see post below.]

First thanks very much for buying the app. Off the top of my head I can't think why it would be crashing so far it's been really stable in testing.

Not to talk myself out of what little money I make, but could you not share your copy of Easily with him using Family Sharing?

Does he use iCloud? If he does then one thing to try, and i know it's a pain, but it would help along the fault finding as iCloud can sometimes (not that often but enough to be a pita) get itself muddled up. This will wipe out anything he's added to the app but if it gets it up and running properly it's worth it.

So what to do is delete the app from all of the devices associated with the iCloud account he's using. Then once it's been removed from them all go into the Settings app on any of his devices. Navigate through to, iCloud -> Storage -> Manage Storage and then scroll down the list of apps until he finds the entry for Easily (You might need to tap on Show All to find it.)

Tap on the entry for Easily, then tap on Edit on the top right of the screen and tap the "Delete All" button. This will completely wipe out anything and everything to do with the Easily app.
Once he's done that, power off and restart all devices that use that iCloud account.

Then re-install Easily and hopefully everything should work. Just to be extra careful if you want, you can try just putting it on one device to begin with and adding a couple of things to make sure its all working ok before installing on the rest of the devices.

Occasionally iCloud can also have a bit of a brain fart when syncing up to other devices for the first time. Again it doesn't happen often but it can. Usually just quitting the app from the Task Manager (double tap the home button and slide the offending app up to the top of the screen until it disappears) and re-starting the app sorts out these sorts of issues.

That should sort out pretty much any problem. If not, give me a shout and we'll see what else we can try.

I'm really enjoying your app, does everything I need it to. The tally feature will be a brilliant addition. I need to do a monthly budget list and a breakdown of house renovation costs, looks like Easily will easily cope with that!

That's great, glad it's worked out. Now that it's up and running it shouldn't happen again.
I like the play on words in your post ;) I've been having great fun with the tally feature, think I'm getting as bad as the wife for making lists. Oh what has become of me :D

Just a quickie, Apple has just approved the update for Easily that has the tally feature. So expect it to shown up soon.
 
Hi... I can't find Easily in the app store or by Googling it. I'm in the U.S., could that be why? The only thing that comes up is Easilydo.

It is available in the U.S., if your having trouble finding it, search for Stuart McLean.

If your using a code you don't need to find it, just open the AppStore, scroll down to the bottom of the very first tab "Featured", and tap the Redeem button.
