How did you lock it in till october 1st? I just did my iPhone 4 16gb AT&T and it says it is good until the 23rd, I don't get the new one till the 21st so i'm hoping that if I mail it on the 21st it will get there in time...

I think there was some confusion about the dates. The e-mail you receive after you accept the offer shows a date of October 1st. I'm pretty sure this is the correct one.

I sold my iPhone 4S 32gb for Verizon for $300. iPhone 5 32gb cost me $322.92 with tax.

$22.92 for a brand new iPhone, ftw.

Check your confirmation email from Instant Sale I bet it will say October 1st. They said sorry for the inconvenience, they are offering an extension until 10/1 because of the iPhone 5 but website will stlll say 7 days which it says to disregard and go by what your email says. Hope this helps.

You're right. Got the email and it does say Oct 1st. This is awesome because I locked in my Gazelle trade in a long time ago and they only gave me $160 (and it's a lot less now!) so i'm making an extra $40.

Thanks!

Go here to the FAQ and click number two. If you lock in your offer between September 12th and September 23rd, they have a special deal where you don't have to ship it in until October 1st. They say to disregard the shipping date when you do the offer, and go by the date in the conformation email they sent you. My email says to ship it by October 1st. http://instantsale.ebay.com/articles/faqs/

I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my fiancee's AT&T iPhone 4. I got $400 for the 4S after shipping.

PS I sent my iPad into gazelle two weeks ago, and have not heard anything from them. I know they have my iPad, but that's all i know. They might be backed up, but I don't know that I would go with them ever again. It's been two weeks and I still don't have my money.

I would NEVER, EVER send any of my devices to ANYONE. I can't imagine anyone actually doing it.

I think eBay instant sale would be somewhat reputable - if dealing with a company. I'm sure eBay didn't just throw up a page and say here sell your devices and ship them out! I'm sure they did plenty of research etc on getting a system set up..

Same goes with Gazelle and other known buyers, Gazelle has been around for a while so if they weren't legit then I think we would hear about it, especially on these forums. I'm sure the situation will get resolved.

I signed up for the Instant Sale the other day. $400 for my 64GB 4S. Paid $250 + $300 for a 32GB (never came close to needing 64GB), so I basically paid $150 for a one year rental of the 4S. Not bad...

I was surprised by how little they asked:
Is the unit fully functional?
2. Trading in Charger?
3. Please select the condition.
NOT WORKING - Includes cracked screen, liquid damage, or any function not working. Must be in one piece.
WORKING - Must power on. No physical damage, all functions must work. Must not have liquid damage.

The charger made no difference in price. I selected no charger, but think I'll send the charger anyways along with everything else. I never used the charger or earbuds once. They stayed in the box the entire time.

I said to return if they don't give me the $400 anyways, but I don't see any problems. It is in fine condition with just a couple of incredibly minor scratches on the screen.

Getting $300 for my 4s 16gb. So I don't have to send it until the 1st? Thought I was going to be without a phone for 4 days. Wanted to lock in my $300

Go by what your email says, but if you locked yours in on the 12th or after, you should be good until October 1st.

I was thinking about using eBay instant sale as well. However, is it possible to cancel the transaction later if I change my mind?

Did you ever learn whether cancellation is possible. Or, what the consequences of canceling are?

listed my 16gb iphone 4 for $275 and it sold right away. used the Buy it now feature. only lasted about an hour and a half.

I think after a set number of days if they don't get your device the order is cancelled and there's repercussions.

How are you guys boxing or sending these in?

Original boxes or like an envelope?

I would rather put it up for sale. That is what i am doing with my 4s. This way i know i have the money before sending it off. That is just me. I read the fine print or whatever about instant sale. And if i remember you have to send the item off. Once they say it is ok, they will send you the money via paypal. But they have up to 5 business days after they receive it to give you the money. Now some of you may say that you have done it before, and it hasn't taken that long to receive payment. But like i said i prefer to have the buyer pay for everything upfront. And then i ship the item. You are protected from ebay though. I had an instance where i sold a bose radio and the guy tried to claim it was broken. And it turned out it wasn't. And i let ebay take care of everything. And although i wasn't able to recover the radio back from him. Ebay helped me recover the money he paid me. So i trust the listing process better. Plus you never know if some fool will overpay for your item lol.

Your email should say you have until Oct 1st to ship. Mine does and I just locked in my pricing the other day for iPhone 4 AT&T 32gb for $235. When accepting the offer they said if it was done during a certain time frame you would have until Oct 1st to ship. I think the cut off date was Sept 23 for getting that deal.

they dont ask for a condition. What if you have some minor scratches and nicks on the sides? DOes that lower the offer??

No one has mentioned if they want original packaging or not... Does ebay charge any fees on a instasale? How about paypal?

I put my 64 gb up for auction but im about to just take the 350. Its in perfect condition (got a warranty replacement yesterday) id have to sell it for at least $420'ish to make $350, thats after fees and headaches.

BUT SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF THEY WANT ORIGINAL BOX AND IF THERE ARE ANY FEES AT ALL DOING AN INSTA SALE. THANK YOU.
