i dont think anything is wrong with your phone or watch its something to do with watch OS 7

We must be the only two this is happening to. I spent hours last night trying to figure it out and even read a large number of posts on the Apple forums as well where this has happened as far back as a year or so ago where the app vanishes either after a software update, or swapping watches.

It’s fixed. They had me install some Health Support app to send them logs, once we got it setup it had me press crown and power at same time to send the logs, but like a dummy I held it too long and doing that force reboots the watch (which I alreardy knew). When it rebooted the app was back (I had to set it up in the Health app). He said maybe the forced restart, though done in error may have cleared something out that made it “see” the option for ECG again.

I wish my issue was as easy as that but I have rebooted my watch countless times to no avail really don’t want to deal with Apple right now lol I’ll just wait for a new watch update to come out I’ve heard that fixes it. Mine is a different case as I accidentally uninstalled it myself so

I have ecg but oxygen monitoring is not available and can’t be installed ...

I even tried erase all content and settings then a repaired it and set up as new and still no ECG and still can’t download it

Same, have you force restarted the watch (power and crown held for 10 seconds or so, until Apple logo shows)? The rep I spoke with today said it might have just been a fluke and that having done that could have cleared something or another out. After the watch rebooted (which took about 90 seconds or so) I went into Health app and immediately got prompted to activate ECG and verify age.

Call Apple, they will have you submit some logs like they did for me, then someone from the health team (I’m all but sure that’s the department he said he was with when he called me today; was doing some yardwork and didn’t catch it other than “health something or another”).

He sent an email with a link to some diagnostics app that installed on watch and phone - it told me to press and hold crown and power and wait for a little “pulse” indicating it was compiling logs or whatever, but instead of doing it for a second or two, I kept them pressed, forgetting that hard force restarts. Took a decent amount of time to boot again and when it did, I opened the health app and ECG setup was back, and prompted me to install the app on the watch.

He said it could have been a fluke working for me after the hard reset. He also said they have been getting calls about it and getting logs as they’re not yet sure why it’s happening, and want to get it fixed. Hopefully they can get it squared away for you.

yeah got off the phone with apple they had me do the same with the health app for the logs though unfortunately i did try the reboot like you did with the app but did not work for me unfortunately so i have to play the waiting game

Same here, Had it on my 5 series, gone on my 6 series. I guess we need a WatchOS7 update to 7.1 to get it back... :-(

I've been having this issue from series 5 to 6, and still having this issue after todays update. Anyone find a fix for this? Tried contacting apple and no updates from them.

Are you able to share the link?

He didn't say I couldn't but it's going to ask you for a case number in order to proceed, so if you don't have one, it's useless; but if you already do this may get you a step ahead if they haven't suggested using this yet.

In the Health app: Browse tab, then tap Heart > Electrocardiograms (ECG) > Set Up ECG App.
i dont even get that option, thats why i uninstalled the ecg app in the first place because my watch wanted me to go into that tab to set it up before i could use it and my phone thought ecg was already set up so wouldn't give me that option and it still is saying its set up

After using my aw3 for long time I got yesterday my aw6. The ecg app wasn't there on default I had to set it up under the watch app on the iphone under the point "heart". Maybe this helps?

I can even see and browse previous made Ecg’s, but the app isn’t there on my series 6, it ‘thinks’ it is there, but it simply is missing...
