I think they should have a slider that lets you choose. I don't get the pre-defined limitations.Numbers don't lie but dang that's pretty impressive. In addition, can we please have more than 2TB of iCloud+ Storage?

I liked it, but will acknowledge tastes vary. I actually do like ATV+ and will return to it one day. However, I'm rotating streaming services, and will only have one major one at a time (time is the bottleneck these days), so that time may likely be in 2024, at the earliest.I tried Ted Lasso a few episodes but it wasn’t really funny. Who agrees?
Hey now, don't insult all the poor used car salesmen out there like that!Am I the only one who gets "used car salesmen" vibes from this guy
I agree. I don't understand the purpose of TV+. It seems like a vanity project, nothing more. If the content were exclusive to Apple devices, that I could I understand. But since it's available everywhere, what's the point? It can't possibly be profitable. If it's not helping to drive hardware sales, I'm left with no other conclusion than it's someone's vanity/ego project.I'd love to see Apple TV+ sold to the highest bidder. It's too much of a shiny distraction that has almost no relevance to the rest of their business. Turn off the TV and get back to work, Apple!
No. Speaking of cars, I think the only thing he cares about are Ferraris.Am I the only one who gets "used car salesmen" vibes from this guy
Lol, seriously. Look at this gem: "2022 was a groundbreaking year for entertainment. At some point over the past year, you probably discovered a new app, a new song, a new TV show or movie, or game."JFC. I realize a press release is not the venue for self-awareness (as someone who has worked in PR in the past, I can summarize it as the planet where subtlety goes to die), but what a self-congratulatory fusillade of unicorn vomit. Apple's unrelenting, borderline desperate need to publicly celebrate itself is, to me, the apex of obnoxious. Yes yes yes, Eddy. You're doing the Lord's work and we're all very proud of you. Now shut up and get back at it.
After I did a Look Up on “fusillade” I had a great image in my head of those unicorns 🤪
Siri still is way way * And I cannot stress this enough* way better than Alexa.Isn't this same guy in charge of Siri still? This is the pinnacle of irony patting himself on the back for winning entertainment awards while Siri is basically wasting away in a basement somewhere.
I was surprised Apple music on PS5 is actually...pretty great. Because most the time it just is not good on non apple platforms.Apple has great services and makes some great TV+ content (compared to some others)
But accessing said services is a terrible experience on non Apple platforms.
Laggy speed, low quality image, low quality sound and tons of missing functionality (iCloud.com is terrible, no Apple Music Connect, ...)
If they ever want to be competitive with the general worldwide public they should make services great everywhere from smart TV's, browsers, windows, consoles etc. Even their bookmark and password sync extensions for Chrome/Edge have been broken for months. And lets not talk about this iTunes replacement that is coming for 6 years now...
Siri still is way way * And I cannot stress this enough* way better than Alexa.
And that’s the one that seem to latch itself into the public consciousness.
The *only* absolutely fantastic assistant is Google, but the reason it’s the best is… well… because it’s google.
Siri at least can do the basic tasks like setting timers, turning on lights, and viewing cameras.
75% of the time you ask Alexa to do one of those things, you’re met with an ad.
“Sure, I’ll set your five minute timer. By the way, Amazon is currently having a sale on analog timers. Would you like me to buy you a pack of 50 timers for $99.99?”
“Sure, i’ll turn off the light. By the way you can buy a pack of Alexa supported bulbs right now for the low price of $49.99! Want me to order?”
It’s exhausting and annoying
Numbers don't lie but dang that's pretty impressive. In addition, can we please have more than 2TB of iCloud+ Storage?
That’s an average of 22 Billion per year. Enough to pay $50k a year to 440,000 people.I understand your sentiment, but still $320 billion in payments to creators since 2008 is literally life-changing for thousands or hundreds of thousands of creators/developers. It goes to show that, yes, Apple is obviously a beneficiary of its ecosystem, but so are small-fries.
I enjoy playing 2k nba with my son, so there’s that.Apple Arcade sucks.
I subscribe to News+. When magazines load the red progress bar at the bottom is too thin.
iCloud backup is good. When I do the yearly upgrade to a new iPhone Pro Max it automatically installs everything like a pro.
Apple TV+ is good. Many good shows.
What are you talking about? They have gone to great lengths to keep those evil emulators out of the AppStore.😏 You can't play your old DOS/SNES/Game Boy/PSP games on your iPhone.🥺 Sure a few hundred scam apps make it pass the filter, but hey, at least the keep those emulators out. Right?🙃Please police the App Store. It’s like the Wild West.
I wonder what there total server space is for ICloud. Since you can start One and regular to 4TB, I'm guessing they have at lease usersx4TB. Or are they like banks with some % that they expect to be requested?I had to get the Apple One Premier that gives 2TB then do the 2TB add-on. I d love to see higher limits in the Premier and/or the stand alone.
Lately even if she does do something, it's delayed. Or she says huh and then still does it. It's the same with Google Next like Alexa. It does stuff near perfectly. It just seems to have trouble understand Ts unless I really enunciate. Maybe it just has to learn since sometimes it confirms what I said.I agree that Amazon has ruined Alexa with ads. However, when I say something to Alexa it understands me and does what I ask.
Siri, on all platforms but especially the homepod mini ironically, frequently wildly misinterprets what I said. I can say the same phrase "lights on" and usually it gets it but about 20% of the time will start trying to play music. Siri's response to everything unless it's absolutely certain you said something else is to play music.
Yeah, timers it *usually* nails but again every so often I will say "set a one hour timer named casserole" or something like that. I can see in the text feedback it heard me correctly, yet it still says "ok, a timer for how long?"
It's just broken and Eddy Cue bragging about entertainment awards which everyone knows can essentially be purchased is just absolutely tone deaf when the thing he's supposed to be in charge of is such a dumpster fire.
Oh good question. I always wondered if they had their own servers or used Amazon or others.I wonder what there total server space is for ICloud. Since you can start One and regular to 4TB, I'm guessing they have at lease usersx4TB. Or are they like banks with some % that they expect to be requested?
And more than the embarrassing 5GB of free storage.Numbers don't lie but dang that's pretty impressive. In addition, can we please have more than 2TB of iCloud+ Storage?

Apple's services are so lacking and overpriced it's almost criminal. I haven't used the AppStore in years because of how much crap is on there. The only service I use is iCloud storage but that's because I can't configure another cloud service to work with Photos so I'm stuck paying $5 per month for 200GB. It's disgusting.
Eddy Cue is a joker too. Put him in the bin along with Apple's services and let's see a rebirth with competitive service offerings (not gonna happen while the walled garden keeps third parties out).
