Question for all - EE have yet to take money (£199) from my account for the phone?

Same for all - or have they taken yours?

I have a order email, and they have added and taken £2 from my bank - so I know they received my order and know my bank details!

I would have to check my bank account again, but I saw that my available balance after talking to EE was about £335 less than what I had expected, meaning there was a pending transaction from EE. In my follow up calls to them they all said everything had gone through, the money was taken, and it was due to come the 19th.

Since you received a confirmation email which many of us did not, you are probably solid. However give EE a call if you need to put your mind at rest.

Ordered mine at 10am on Friday and just got this text.

Let's hope that's a generic SMS and not 21 days as I have been told 19th or a day or so later by a few EE reps so far.

Just got the same text! Immediately rang them as I got my order in at just after 8am on Friday and they said they have to send that time frame as it covers them against delays etc.

In another thread it looks like someone has had a text from Vodaphone telling them their package has been sorted ready for delivery. Why EE rely solely on DPD for all communications is crazy.

They also took £2 from my account and nothing else as of yet. Still no updates or evidence on my My EE page.

I think its all going to be fine and they will go out tomorrow. UK isn't that big of a country, should be able to handle next-day delivery pretty easily.

It's not the distribution which is never an issue, it's how many a carrier has managed to get issued on the first wave.

The EE rep told me 21 days too, although the only text I had today was a customer service questionnaire. No email confirming order, which is a bit shoddy especially for a business user.

Friday morning order = "Your phone will be with you within 21 days"
Sunday order = "Good news, your phone will be with you Friday 19th"

I ordered mine via phone around 10 on the Friday, I got the 21 day text. Deep joy!

Well their website delivery within 7 days when I ordered on Sunday and the reps on the phone that night and the next nights said it be there by the 19th. I'll wait for my text, see what it says, and see what happens on Friday. All I can say is if it is 14 or 21 days, then they must have known that, and there be some pretty damning evidence of false advertisement.

I ordered a Space Grey 64GB 6+, received a confirmation email, and the money has been taken from our account. No text yet though.

I'm waiting patiently. Even if I didn't make the first wave of preorders for Friday I'm sure the phone will come within the next couple of weeks.

The phone companies do this every year. This day and age they should have a live stock of what they have. I'm sure Apple allocates a set amount of phone to each carrier so why have a slow lie stock.
Oh yeah they want to give you false hope, but knowing if they can phob you off for a week or so once you receive your phone it will be all forgotten about.

And yes it's false advertising, but who will pursue any of them for this.....

Same! The rep on the phone also assured me that there would be a 100% guarantee my phone would arrive on the 19th. Still heard nothing from them apart from the 21 day text and that came through yesterday.

If it doesn't arrive on the 19th that's pretty poor customer service for a rep to guarantee a date :/

No movement on my order - so rang up and there was a glitch when I ordered, apparently.

So I had to give all my info again, and I'm now back of the queue as of today.

Just typical of carriers these days. I left O2 as they pissed me about with the iPhone 5 launch. I know I'm only a small business but my yearly bill is quite substantial across 6 phones. I guess I'll count my blessings that this time EE have delivered on what they promised.

Got my text from EE and from DPD for a 19th delivery.

But... my EE account page still shows no sign of an upgrade, still showing my old contract and the ability to upgrade. I'm worried this hasn't gone through as an upgrade but just a new phone contract. Is that normal?

Gf ordered the 64GB 6 on Tues evening. EE says 20th, DPD says 19th.
