The problem is I hate grind and dislike inconvenience, and I can rationalize up a storm, and can still stay immersed.

Ha! Don't blame you at all. Every so often I get a bug up my ass to play the game a certain way, and by about Level 10 I've given up. 😛

I tell people, if I was really stuck on an island I’d be spending as much time as needed building a fort to avoid being eaten by big or small nasty dinos. 😀 In all games I’ve found the health status to be completely unrealistic, so if I have to eat some food to overcome dire injuries, or my health just magically inches back up on its own, it’s a bar set by the Dev, that I don’t feel particularly bad about violating the rules they chose to present a challenge. I enjoy challenges along with setting my limits. I don’t want it to feel too much like work…

Besides becoming enamored with Starfield, I broke out SkyRim today, the music and visuals started and I was still enchanted.🙂 I had just released Serana, escorting her to her home on an island off the NW coast of SkyRim. But got sidetracked picking up 2 items I purchased from creation club. One was an armor that I thought would be special, but my in-game orcish stuff looks better, is enchanted, and has slightly better damage protection stats. The Shadow bow may prove worthy.

I’ve been playing so much Starfield , it took me a while to get my muscle memory back for conjuring, damage, and bound weapons.

Soon after this post, I had a serious PC malfunction requiring a new motherboard, and lost my progress.

I finally got around to starting anew, this time as a high elf which are just not that attractive, but I’ll deal with it. Again I’ve had to debate in my players mind to side with the Imperials or the Stormcloaks. Last time I had sided with the Stormcloaks and was so bothered by their racist attitudes I went back and changed my course to side with the Imperials, even though they try to execute my character (regardless of your chosen race) at the beginning. It’s more of a big picture choice about what’s best for Skyrim. The Thalmore (elf supremicists)/even though allied with the Imperials, it’s a tenuous alliance, and they come across badly. Ironically, it’s the Imperials that are more open to race diversity and have the strength of the empire to create a stable Skyrim… if they are driven out, the Thalmore will swoop in… just an opinion. 🙂

Ultimately I’m more shallow then I like admitting, after a couple of days of looking at that sour puss of a High Elf’s face, including post World of Warcraft, I’m critical of why Bethesda made elves ugly or at least did not put a bit more effort into them. Via the consul, I’m now back to being a Britain who has decent magic specs and is much easier on the eyes. 🙂 Discovered I’m Dragon born, and am now on my way the High Hothgar to speak with the Elders, then onto The College of Winterhold to hone my magic.
