I agree, I think it will go away with time. I also love that color. I promised myself that I was done after I purchased mine so no matter what comes out, I am done. Except for 1 which I hope shows up late this week or early next week!!
I have highlighted the area in an attached picture here. Picture is from scelzifan, I just highlighted it. Like Rhino/white said, he doesn't find it obstructing, but what about everyone else? I found it really annoying and had my vapor returned.

I threw on my Black/ Silver and placed a powerful flashlight behind it. As you can see in the pic the clear insert is lit up and light is coming out around the outside edges of the phone. The only part of my case that will let light through is the headphone slot at the top. No light shines through anywhere else. Also you can see in the rest of the pics that there is more space along the edge of the top of the case than the bottom. I really think this will fix it self with normal compression of the foam over time.
I hope this helps.........Dam this black and silver is growing on me......don't think I can sell that one either.

You are worse than me and that says a lot. What are you waiting for..........................maybe I need one too lol. :D

Just my honest opinion.

I'm just giving MHO here and you can just take it as one persons view. I buy a lot, I mean a lot of electronic gizmos and accessories. I am very picky because I only tend to buy what I really like and I usually order the case / protector a week before I order or buy the actual product so I can protect my investment as soon as it's out of the box. I resell all of my electronics so by keeping them in top condition I get top dollar to invest in a new product when it comes time to sell. I say with confidence that any case going up against the new Element Pro has it's work cut out for it. I am 100% pleased with mine and the other guys have a tough act to follow. No case can be perfect as with all things but the Vapor Pro is the closest I've seen. I know there are other good cases out there but at this point unlike before it will take a lot to sway me to another case. The only thing that kept me from buying the original Pro or the Black ops version was that gawd awful yellow insert. When I saw the Spectra I jumped at it and am really enjoying it. No, I don't work for Element or get free cases from them. Just a picky guy who is rarely this impressed.

I will never know if it will settle now since i have already returned it. One thing to note however is that I have a protection on the sides of my iphone. Those sticky strips to protect the alluminium antenna band. Maybe that caused it to be thinker and hence making the lights beaming through.

I wonder.

I'm useing the Luckylabs silver Teksure antenna wrap which is very thick. Much thicker than their spectra wrap. Its thick enough to feel the edge on it.
Just reorder if you like the case.

How scratch resistant are the case against everyday use? For those who has it, how are the cases holding up?

Ya, you are probably right. I probably like the case and was disappointed by it a little. My mind is struggling very much about it. I kept thinking could it be the side tape, or just a defective product or something else.

I would like to know the answer to der-kaiser as well. I didn't get to use the vapor pro much because it have to be shipped back as brand new to avoid additional charges. Anyone been using the case with a jeans pocket?

I sold my Red/ Black Spectra Pro for 175 and my old Vapor Frost for 60.
If I sell my Black/ Silver than my Orange/ Black case, the one I'm keeping for sure will be pretty much free
Reader hears mad cackling in the background................lol

My Blue Case! Loving it!

Pro Reception Question

At home where I typically keep my phone my reception varies with my Pro Spectra. I often get 5 bars or 60-70 Db which is better than my previous case that was at 4 bars max very infrequently. This is good, but about half the time the pro is at 3 bars. So it jumps from 3 to 5 bars back and forth. Is this normal? I sometimes worry that the antenna may be touching the case somewhere. A few times I've tried moving the phone by pushing it in the slots and it jumps from 3 to 5 bars but that's rare. I thought it might be caused by weather change, on rainy day's it seems to stay at 3 Bars. I also thought at high use times of the day it stays at 3 bars. In good weather at night it goes to 5 bars.

does a variation like that seem normal and caused by factors like I suspect or does it seem abnormal caused by a shorted antenna?

That type of activity isn't usually your phone or case. It's frequency modulation with your service provider. You may notice signal strength lowering when free calling starts after 6 weekdays and on weekends. With more people using the towers signal strength drops off. Plus some providers use 2 type of streaming for data and voice while others use only one data stream for both. Looking at this case I dont see it touching the metel at all. Not on mine any ways.

Thinking about it, if it was touching the case the signal strength would stay down IMO. I just thought the pad installation might be off as in crooked or the pad could be compressed when the screws were tightened or when I was pushing it around. I suppose I could remove it and check the pads. i just don't like taking it on and off a lot. i suppose you guy's that review do that dozens of times.

I change cases a lot. The trick to a good installation that provides proper alignment and not harming the threads is putting in the screws half way and line up and tighten the opposite cornes top and bottom on one side and then the other. As you do this reajust your case to it sweetspot before you make your final tighten. Of course never over tighten the screws or it will take the finish off around the tops of the thread. My phone has gone back and fourth between 4 and 5 bars will I've been sitting her without me touching it. I honestly believe it's a provider issue that we all have based on time of day. I dont think you will have this effect at 4:00 in the morning.

I have a lot case in my hand ,vapor and vapor pro , but vapor BlackOps is a case no.1 .....cant describe how it feels in hand , it's amazing ....a matte/rough finish is awasome! ....now it's difficult to return to glossy

Dang. I think I'm convincing myself to buy the Black Ops version. Is there any downside to the Black Ops case versus the Spectra line?

Absolute none .... and + blackops/FE is bead blast and have satin finish with hard electrolytic coating to resist abrasion
