Okay just got one from another aliexpress seller, "Ebayz Co., Ltd.". I do NOT recommend them. They sent me the wrong color. Instead of orange, i got pink . Also the corner part is a dark transparent (black transparent), looks really ugly. It looks nothing like the ones they show in the pics. Im sending it back. Beware of Ebayz Co., Ltd. :(

Im guessing the person who was recommending them earlier was just a shill.

My case from that seller (ebayz)is perfect, clear/translucent piece and all.

both halves are flush and cap's transparent.. no issues. guess you would have to gamble with quality as you're buying fakes anyway

Fits well, and very good quality. The case is super light too (compared to my Vapor 4, it feels quite light).

I got it from this seller : http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/...uminium-Bumper-Case-for-iphone-4-4G-Free.html

EDIT: Im not sure who Alvin's seller is. I checked the last 4-5 pages, dont see a link to the seller from whom Alvin got his knockoff.

I do remember someone warning me that the seller i got mine from had fitment issues, but mine fits really nicely, as you can see from the pics I posted. I got some compliments on the looks of the case, the silver combo with silver back really looks good IMHO.

I had ordered from another seller as well (actually, a week before I ordered the one I received), but it has not arrived yet :(, maybe it got lost in the mail since its been almost a month.

That's the seller who I got mine from, great service, had mine a week now no problems with signal, Wifi or GPS.

Contemplating on getting another, either "Black ops" or wait until they start selling the "white" version. Personally for me with the official cases, i would be charged $30 for delivery alone, I can more or less buy a case for that.

I am now scouring to see what else I can buy, maybe a stylus for the iPad

Same here. If they were cheaper, I'd get one in a heartbeat.

Exactly the situation I was in. I know someone with a genuine Element Vapor, and it's a gorgeous case. But the best part of £100? Can't afford that myself. I ended up grabbing a fake off Amazon Marketplace UK for £14 + p&p, and whilst the fit is dodgy, it shafts the GPS and I had to shove extra lumps of foam rubber in when I did it up, it's a damn nice case for what I paid for it. Get lots of compliments on the black/orange colour combo.

I can afford the Element Vapor however I don't want to unnecessarily waste money on over priced goods.

I know I've not been the biggest Element Case supporter in the past, but I just got in my "White Out" limited edition Vapor Pro, and...my god...this is the sexiest case I've ever laid hands on! The painted surface feels SO much more "premium" than the anodized aluminum. It adds just the right touch of grip to the case. It comes with the Trans Kit (zippered carrying pouch, SpeedWrench, screen protector, etc), but instead of the regular black carbon fiber backplate, it comes with a very cool white polycarbonate backplate (seen in the photos below). It adds a very nice "soft touch" finish to the back of the phone. I also received the optional (additional cost) carbon fiber white backplate for the White Out series. They both add a very nice look to the back of the phone, but honestly the case looks just as good (on a black phone) without either of them. This is just an initial overview, my full review will come later.

Pardon the dust on the bottom back of my phone in the back view without protector on...these were very quick photos.

I think the case looks great and would like good on both colors! But I have to admit that now I am kind of left sitting here scratching my head! Why would you buy yet another vapor pro after you said the first one killed your gps? Kind of seems foolish to spend another 150 dollars on a case that as you said was no where near worth the money.. And another thing, you buy from a company after you have cost them thousands of dollars by showing people where to get the knockoff version and then saying how great it worked etc.. I think your morals and ethics are so far off it's not even funny! Especially coming from a golf pro that has no technical back ground in the field except by using the field test option built into the phone. At least I am honest and test cases at our facility at work where I can 100% true and accurate industry standard testing that all major carriers use. Your credibility with me is completely shot and after you said what you did about element awhile back...I am surprised they even sold you another case!!

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter what the guy does with his money and what he says, it's his money and his opinion. I think people get too worked up over what people say/do on the internet. It is a pretty sweet looking case though and I usually don't like white cases.

Your absolutely correct. But he totally contradicts his own words constantly and it seems he is so untrustworthy it's not even funny!!

If you read what I wrote, I stated in my full review that my first Spectra didn't hurt my GPS, but the replacement did a bit. I chalked that up to manufacturing inconsistencies from iPhone to iPhone. And I can further validate that, now that I am on my 2nd iPhone (my first was replaced a few weeks back), and I'm seeing much different (typically better) GPS and cellular reception results with this 2nd iPhone than I did my first. So it's apparent to me that the performance of iPhones can vary quite a bit from handset to handset. My current handset has a consistently lower reception reading (by 8-10dB) at all of my test locations than my first iPhone 4 did, but holds onto that signal much better and doesn't drop in places where the first one did.

I'm glad my case choices for review intrigue you so much. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion (of which yours we hear about sooo much). Opinions are allowed to be different, and even change, you DO know that, right? I'm not really concerned if my "credibility" is hurt with you...the same exact thing has been stated about you as well...do you lose sleep over it?

As far as the "knock-off" thing is concerned, I wasn't the first one that mentioned them by a long shot. All I did was obtain one and quickly compare its performance to the original, for those people who didn't have the option to do so. Not everyone can afford or even will buy a $100+ case, so I'd venture to say that the vast majority of people that would purchase a "knock-off" Vapor Pro would ever buy the real thing anyway. People were going to (and will continue to) talk about and purchase knock offs of everything whether I talk about them or not. Look at all the knock off posts, and how little I actually contributed to them. I SERIOUSLY doubt that "thousands of dollars" in lost sales can be contributed to my, and only my words. Hell...I'd actually feel somewhat flattered if it did...it'd mean a lot of people hang that much on my opinion (which is seriously doubt is the case)!

Its kind of funny that you say that about the different phones because I have 3 iPhones and none of mine varied in any of my tests at all! Not 1 db or in any other area! People can say what they want about me but they can never call me a liar like at this point I think I can call you fairly easy! I tell the truth whether people like it or not! I don't think your first phone had any issues, it was just another story you told to try to hurt element! But whatever, your right and always will be so whatever you say goes! But honestly, all you do is stroll around the golf course with your phone and look at the db's and check maps on your phone and that's as technical as your test get. Really they are just opinions and not reviews. A few words and some pictures, hell of a review!!

Yes, that's exactly it. You're right, I forgot how you know everyone's daily routine and how everyone's phone performs. Glad to know that I purposely single handedly sabotaged Element all by myself. I wasn't aware that I had that kind of clout. And if I made that up (about the differences in phone's performance) "just to hurt Element", that'd be really stupid since it also retroactively affected my reviews of Atomic, e13ctron, EXOVault, Fusionwerkz, Apex Armor, and Xcel Case. Because my current (replacement) phone shows somewhat different performance (GPS and reception-wise) for each one of those than my original did. In fact, it makes a few of the ones that were originally unusable work acceptably. But again, this is all opinion (same as every last thing you say), so at the end of the day, it doesn't matter. People have to choose for themselves anyway, and can take all the opinions read anywhere with a grain of salt. If anyone based their opinion on that of a single person located halfway across the country (me, you, or any other reviewer...many of which are sponsored, so their credibility is gone right there..), then they'd be putting themselves in a compromising situation anyway. So, good day! And for goodness sakes....lighten up! You are FAR too serious about this stuff. Good god at the hostility that you always bring. You don't really help any of the company's you try to "help" by making so many people see you as a ranting and raving bully.

I don't try to help or hurt ant company! I work for a cell phone manufacturer and I have access to a chamber that test all the above area's. No human factor is involved so if it's good enough to test the best cell phones on the market, I'm pretty sure its far more accurate than any human! My test or reviews are never personal, just facts given to me by a machine that in a room that cost more than we will make in our life time. So yes, I'm sure it's never wrong! And I think the reason your test all of a sudden changed is because you get as many free cases as you can from everyone to supposedly review! And then once you get it your opinion or tests supposedly change. Kinda odd but whatever, I'm done wasting my time on you. Buy I think you owe element 1 hell of an apology for what you have said and did to them. I owed them one myself and I gave it personally and I never costs them a dime like you did by pumping up that knockoff company!

Oh and to further prove my theory, your story about getting your "free vapor pro" which was a complete lie that was confirmed by element themselves! And yes, I have it in an email directly from their head guy. So that's just another one if your lies! Your a liar, plain and simple! Im done with you, your a joke and if anyone listens to your reviews i would advise them to think twice!!
And I thank you for that! Best news I've heard all day, actually.
