The Vapor Pros have an aerospace polymer piece that covers the antennae on the metal band. There are also foam paddings in the interior of the case to help prevent the case from coming in contact with the metal band on the phone.
Larry Greenberg's review of the First Edition provides a good tour of the case's interior here:

Note that the Vapor Pro First Edition has a shorter polymer piece compared to the Vapor Pro Black Ops and Spectra models.
1) Sorry for asking, but searching comes up with no results: What size hex bolt are the Vapor Pro screws?
Bumping myself - anyone know the answer to this?

I lost mine also and I just sent them an email and they took care of me. I would just email them and I'm sure they will help you out.
Hi!
I measured with a micrometer--
3/64 inch
1.25 mm
.05 inch
I just checked, and my 1.3 mm works. I would bet they designed it for 3/64, as most metric sets have 0.9, 1.3, but not 1.25.
I really want the white vapor pro....
If anyone buys and doesnt want it anymore,
I have the Black Ops edition for trade...
just a heads up!
to date, it's still easy to tell a fake vapor pro with regards to mainly the length of the polymer cap.
Fakes all utilise the shorter length of the FE; whereas for the blackops and the later pro versions all have the longer cap length.
Anyone know why they switched to the longer cap? I haven't heard many (if any) complaints about reception on the first edition models that had the shorter cap, so I wouldn't think that was the reason.
My photo got deleted for some reason - here it is again. Will post GPS tests later but so far so goodlocks fast under partly cloudy conditions in suburb of Seattle.

The First Edition model was specifically designed for the AT&T model phone and was advertised as only for the AT&T Iphone. I believe when the Verison Iphone came out there were reception problems because the antenna and I believe the signal frequency used was different. The shorter cap is fine on the AT&T the longer cap is fine on both.
Been testing my knockoff for a week now. Fits well. GPS works good and signal reception is almost as good as the naked iPhone (-84dB vs -82dB). Im happy with it since I paid $36 shipped on aliexpress. Here are some pics :
