New White edition & Chroma line

The new White edition vapor pro looks really sick~, with 2 choices of backplate.

The all red chroma looks nice as well.

2 random, but related, questions:

1) Sorry for asking, but searching comes up with no results: What size hex bolt are the Vapor Pro screws?

2) I am asking, because to my horror, on my key chain, the carrier for my hex wrench with the 2 spare screws is naked on my key chain - ie, the wrench itself unscrewed itself and is lost somewhere. Anyone else have this problem? Not sure if I can call this a design flaw, but it shouldn't have happened in a few weeks. It should stay on better than that.

I need a replacement, but I certainly am not going to pay for another speed wrench if that is going to happen again...

Update: As for number 2, element is shipping me a replacement speed wrench for free - add another +1 for customer service for the naysayers out there...

I really want the white vapor pro....
If anyone buys and doesnt want it anymore,
I have the Black Ops edition for trade...
just a heads up!

You will sell a blackops for a white vapor pro?

This is OK if you have a white i4 but on black this will look terible

The Vapor Pros have an aerospace polymer piece that covers the antennae on the metal band. There are also foam paddings in the interior of the case to help prevent the case from coming in contact with the metal band on the phone.

Larry Greenberg's review of the First Edition provides a good tour of the case's interior here:

Note that the Vapor Pro First Edition has a shorter polymer piece compared to the Vapor Pro Black Ops and Spectra models.

great thanks for the info. :) Looks like I will be going with Element instead of the electron ones

Bumping myself - anyone know the answer to this?

Hi!
I measured with a micrometer--
3/64 inch
1.25 mm
.05 inch

I just checked, and my 1.3 mm works. I would bet they designed it for 3/64, as most metric sets have 0.9, 1.3, but not 1.25.

I lost mine also and I just sent them an email and they took care of me. I would just email them and I'm sure they will help you out.

Yep, same, they are sending me another one on the house. Very nice of them.

Thanks man, that's great. I wanted to just get a cheap one as a spare in case I lose it again. Just ordered a micro set from amazon for 4$... I love Prime.

well... i can i assure you its 100% authentic... (i can also take a pic of it if requested) not to mention i only used it for a day.. I have the white iphone 4... again, literately a day...
just a shot in the dark, if you can call it that.

to date, it's still easy to tell a fake vapor pro with regards to mainly the length of the polymer cap.

Fakes all utilise the shorter length of the FE; whereas for the blackops and the later pro versions all have the longer cap length.

ANother thing to look out for are the word fonts, screwdriver color and the backpiece which is included etc..

Anyone know why they switched to the longer cap? I haven't heard many (if any) complaints about reception on the first edition models that had the shorter cap, so I wouldn't think that was the reason.

I have the transit kit...(because the black ops edition comes with it) etc, only thing i dont have is the screen protector because i used it,

The First Edition model was specifically designed for the AT&T model phone and was advertised as only for the AT&T Iphone. I believe when the Verison Iphone came out there were reception problems because the antenna and I believe the signal frequency used was different. The shorter cap is fine on the AT&T the longer cap is fine on both.

Ahh - that makes sense. Thanks.

Been testing my knockoff for a week now. Fits well. GPS works good and signal reception is almost as good as the naked iPhone (-84dB vs -82dB). Im happy with it since I paid $36 shipped on aliexpress. Here are some pics :

Fits well, and very good quality. The case is super light too (compared to my Vapor 4, it feels quite light).

I got it from this seller : http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/...uminium-Bumper-Case-for-iphone-4-4G-Free.html

EDIT: Im not sure who Alvin's seller is. I checked the last 4-5 pages, dont see a link to the seller from whom Alvin got his knockoff.

I do remember someone warning me that the seller i got mine from had fitment issues, but mine fits really nicely, as you can see from the pics I posted. I got some compliments on the looks of the case, the silver combo with silver back really looks good IMHO.

I had ordered from another seller as well (actually, a week before I ordered the one I received), but it has not arrived yet :(, maybe it got lost in the mail since its been almost a month.

While I'm using a knock-off "short version" and the Verizon iPhone, I'm not getting any signal/antenna issues (even with GPS). Not sure if that's still the case if I had a genuine FE case.
