okay just want to comment on this thread
im dont work for any case company, im just a normal consumer as most of you here, anyway here's my thought to the element case as a company, and their product.
first of all, i bought 2 vapor 4 cases 1 from an Apple store in Hong Kong and another 1 from an Apple store in Indonesia
they both have small difference in finnish and materials so i put the photos here on this thread several page back, but then nobody can pin point wheter its was a fake one or real one.
mind you i bought it at full retail price , maybe more , cause the currency conversion rate, i bought it there because the element case can't send me directly to my country , and put the value as less than US $50. As i explained in my previous post, the tax in my country is very high, for anything that imported that valued US$50 and above its considered to be a luxury items and the tax is very high, maybe more than the case itself, thats why i cant bought it directly from their web site.
anyway i took the picture of both of the case , and even email the customer support @ elementcase, and even them cant gimme the answer wheter or not they are fake or real!
i thought they are the maker and they should know which one is fake and which one is real !
and i saw once in their website that if we bought a fraud one or somthing , they can offer us a next shipment for free or less when we buy directly from them, but in their email that they send me , they don't offer me anything. and they don't offer me any solutions at all.
anyway both of the case degrade the signal so much that i can't even use my phone properly, it was like an overpriced and oversized ipod touch for me, because i live in a country that the signal is quite bad.i was quite dissapointed by it.
then through my friend that happened to be on holiday in the US, i ordered a genuine vapor pro black ops. because i love the transparent plastic orange thingy and after all i thought as a big and proffesional company , they should have designed their product thoughtfully and should have tested it before selling it to the market.
and again i was dissapointed!
first , when i open the packaging for the first time, im surprised that the orange plastic thingy is much bigger than the one posted in their homepage.
we are talking about US$100+ case here, and thats not a small amount for me. and i deserve to know what im paying for.
okay its only a "small" re designed but still i must be informed before thay make such a change.
secondly, they said thats the re designed thingy is to improve the performance of the case or phone that attach to it, but to my amazement , my phone GPS is tottaly unusable.
it locked fast but im not on the correct road that my GPS app said i am!
before anyone can say "get a real GPS", i do have a real GPS in my car but when im in another car i use my iphone as GPS and also one of the reason i bought an iPhone is beacuse its GPS funtionality!
i email them again but till now i dont get any reply.
after watching this thread for sometimes , i ordered a fake one form aliaexpress the vapor pro silver/silver.
and now i can at last use my phone as it supposed to be.
signal OK, GPS OK, wi-Fi OK and all that for about US$40 .
and their built quality is superb too, very little or not any different to the original one.
to sum it up, maybe some of you are happy with your purchases, im happy for you,
but for me , they have been nothing but a pain in the a**
i can't swear that i'll never buy another case from them anymore , who knows they will come out with something real good next time, but for now, i wont buy any of their current cases, and i wont recommend it to my friends either.
PS. i feel that the original vapor 4 satin nickel is the best designed case for an iPhone 4 out there, if only the signal don't get affected, i'll never take it off from my phone ever!
the Pro version is not as good as the original vapor in terms of designed, cause its sharper on the edges and somehow doesn't look minimalist enough for me.
anyway that's my thought, im sorry if i offend anyone here, but just want to share my experiences. and im sorry if my english is broken, cause this is not my native language, have a nice day everyone.
now im using silver/silver fake vapor 4 and SGP neo EX hybrid case , this is the best iphone 4 cases in my opinions, i use them sparringlly.
as the original vapor 4 and Pro,
i sold the black vapor 4 and the black ops vapor pro

I was about to buy it until the website wanted me to enter my information on a non-SSL (Secured Socket Layer) webpage. I just don't feel comfortable entering my info on a page that doesn't have https://... especially on a foreign website. I'm still interested, but maybe through another website.

Kinda puts me off buying something that is gonna knock 1-2 bars off my signal strength.

Thing is it's reported that the plastic creates a weak point
I'm getting the case mate jett which has plastic inserts to stop signal degradation.
I'd rather have full signal and a weak point.
Riiigghhttt but be prepared for 100% less than acceptable customer service. They are dishonest, read the atomic thread for pertanent examples.
Ummm, no, atomic did 3/4 plastic, 1/4 aluminum, not the other way around as the poster suggested. Makes for a cheap plastic-y case.
It's not cheap at all and works perfectly...I have bought 4 for friends as gifts with no less tha 100% good service....
