It is for me. I stopped using the COMP a couple of days ago. I really like it but the flex caused crap to get in between the case and the antenna. Not only that but the sharp edge also got annoying for me. I text a lot.

hmm, there is flex in my polycarbonate frame too. but the flex isn't prominent enough and it will flex only when I deliberately touch it.

Ultimately though, I would takethe Chroma Pro Red haha if I have to choose again

can anyone take a picture and show how bad the flexing is? thanks!

You are really not going to be able to see it. It isn't huge, like 1 or maybe 2 millimeters.

The issue I have is that I am left handed. My left thumb naturally rests on the volume controls. If you press right below the volume rocker on the case it flexes. It is really annoying to me in a 100 dollar case. I bought the case because of the solid feel of the aluminum in the previous version of the Vapor. All of the cases all felt great in the hand, it was just functionality that was the problem.

Functionality is great on the COMP in terms of reception, GPS, and WiFi. The play in the left side is just truly annoying to me. Also the sharp edge digs into my thumb when I use the phone one handed. It doesn't do it all the time but it is noticeable.

Anyway the case is fine, though I would prefer the more solid feeling Pro. My issue is the Pro had GPS issues for me. Enough to affect functionality.

On a cheaper case I could let these little things slide, bu not on a 100+ dollar case.

i know what im about to suggest won't alleviate your frustration entirely, but have you tried to put some clear tape under it? --like maybe two or three layers. that way it won't "Flex" per say. Or you can go the lucky labs wraps route, and put the antenna decals under the plastic piece, maybe that will fill the "gap" so it won't bend. let me know what you think. thanks.

oh dear, now i don't know should i get the red vapor comp, vapor pro black ops or vapor pro stealth. sigh. :(

Got that email and the site must be so busy! Tried getting on but it's overloaded!

Get the Pro if you are not dependent upon your iphone GPS or if you are wiling to compromise by turning off 3G when using GPS. I prefer the looks of the Black Ops case. I think the Stealth looks a bit too stealthy for my taste. I think the Black Ops stands out just a little bit better.

lmao, clear tape to use a $100 case ? unbelievable :p

My thoughts exactly.

As a note I have used the case with and without a Lucky Labs wrap. It doesn't help.

I'm not going to use tape to keep a high end case in place. A stiffer plastic would have made the case perfect. As of now it is an 8 out of 10 for me as crap does get between the case and the phone.

I tried using the code and it doesn't work anymore. Must have been for just a few hours or something. :(

how many of you guys are using the Suede backpiece? Just installed mine 2 days ago.

The texture is soft and I like it; but I'm concerned with the durability.

At first sight, Element Case's Vapor for iPhone 4, an aluminum, bumper-style case, looks like the pinnacle of exceptional case engineering. The most available for me, i used in a happy feeling.;)

If its the same suede backing as the Pro Chroma, then I would be more concerned about how cheap and ugly it looks. THe case looks better without it :p
