Brand of Element Vapor seems to be never outdated, so it's my first choice of choosing the right case for my iPhone 4.

is this a safe website to buy? No paypal available, they want my credit card number...

some sellers only accept credit/debit cards.

a lot also accept paypal, just a case of finding the right one and asking them!

I got Vapor COMP Stealth (Black/Red) in the mail yesterday and it looks very, very nice. It's surprisingly light-weight, but -- then again -- I've never had an aluminum case. Don't have my iPhone 4S yet, so haven't tried the fit.

Despite higher price, "stealth" versions of COMP are a better deal than regular ones if you don't need a suede backplate. With "stealth", you get a matte carbon fiber backplate (+$19.99) and a travel case (+9.99).

FYI, if you can't find some products in stock (e.g. stealth COMPs are not in stock) on Element Case's site, you can check out their eBay store (elementcaseinc). That's who I ordered my case from since I had some eBay Bucks and, at the time, main site didn't offer free S&H (eBay stores gives free USPS Priority Mail shipping).

P.S. I don't hang out on MacRumors alot, but I'm rather taken aback by open discussions of knock-off Vapors. It's bad enough fakes are out there -- it can't be stopped, but there's no need to popularize them.

I'm sure, Element Case could lower prices significantly by outsourcing overseas, but they invested money in R&D, design, and manufacturing over here, so shouldn't we support them instead of a nameless Asian factory that, for all we know, makes Foxconn seem like paradise?

I understand your sentiment, and prefer to buy American made as well. I have a little bit different viewpoint on this particular instance however. I ordered a genuine vapor pro case from element which set me back $129.99. I have been attempting to contact them since October 10 to try to upgrade my vapor pro to a vapor stealth, to no avail; meanwhile I also ordered a case from aliexpress (Jacky Nie) and paid $25 for a black ops case, and have talked with him about my order numerous times. My order on element still shows "processing". It still has not even shipped! I'm am pissed off to have paid so much for a case and can not even get a response from them. At this point, I am not so sure that the official Element cases are any more genuine than those offered direct from China, they probably come from the same factory to be honest.

I've done the same as you an ordered a white vapour pro from the same seller using Paypal.

Looking forward to getting mine :D

Wouldn't you believe my luck.

Wanted a Element case however didn't want to wait so I decided to just pick up a cheap clear case until i decide what to go with.

Went to Best buy to pick it up and low and behold I found they had a Element Vapor Comp in blue! last one, so needless to say I made my choice.

Any pics of the case you got from Best Buy? Would love to see it on the phone.

The element vapor works amazing with the iPhone 4s. Works better it seems like with the new antenna update I guess? GPS is spot on the first time and wifi/3G is quick with no signal degradation.

I did have to replace the stock foam inserts with electrical tape and does the job just fine. I really do love this case and was worth every dollar of the $100 I paid. Still going strong but scratched up quite a bit so sometime this week I'm going to sand it down smooth again and possibly paint/powdercoat/anodize it a glossy white to match the 4s.

Here are a couple of pics of my white 4s using a Silver Vapor Comp (no idea why they are showing upside down)

Has anyone confirmed that the Vapor cases (Black Ops etc) fit the 4S? I've read the entire thread and it's not clear. I see the Vapor Comp fits fine but what about the regular?

I contacted Element Case about being out of stock on the white Vapor Pro and when they will have more in stock. Thought their reply was interesting.

This makes me think that they might be doing something with the volume buttons on the case. Since I've updated to ios 5 I find useing the plus button for my camera with my Vapor pro case on is not easy or comfortable. The pro is pretty much perfect other than that far design goes. Well that and GPS being sluggish.

Vapor Pro Stealth and Signal Strength?

Hello all! So over the past year I have had the vapor ar-15 case on my iPhone 4 and while it is one sexy case, it has indeed affected my reception (losing 1 bar-sometimes 2). I spent so much money on the case I felt that I had to use it despite the signal issues. Anyway, I now have the 4s with the ar-15 on it (and it still causes even that phone to lose 1 bar of signal strength). I am thinking about getting the vapor pro stealth for the 4s, but I am very worried that it will also interfere with the signal strength. If anyone has any experience with the stealth or black ops on their iPhone 4s, can you talk about the signal response with the case on? Is it just inevitable that an aluminum case will interfere with the signal? Thank you...

There is a reason I like the authentic one better - I've had 4 authentic and 3 fakes. I end up selling one and giving away the other two. It's not that the quality is bad up front, but after 2 months they started falling apart. Especially if you pay them down on the table and remove the cases 3-4 times.

I've had the authentic black ops, silver/silver, orange/silver, and the first edition. All of them still looks brand new.

Also, they feel a lot better because they're anodized and then coated. The fakes are just anodized and the aluminum is a lot softer so they dent easier. All in all though, I would rather have one nice authentic then 3-4 fakes. The authentic ones are worth the money ;)

Little confused with the trajectory of this thread - is the Vapor 4 compatible with the 4S models or not? (for Verizon, at least?).

So which seller is everyone buying their White Vapor Pro from on AliExpress?

Anyone receive theirs yet? If so, please post pics and reviews :)

Sorry you've had issues with your order. I read a few negative comments about their cust. service, but I purchased from them on eBay and they answered questions same day (multiple times). Perhaps, you can try that avenue (asking a question about one of their items for sale and stating your issue; the guy who answered my questions seems very nice).

Anyone know if ElementCaseInc on eBay is truly Element Cases official eBay?

Based on multiple messages I've exchanged with them, they are legit. I bought Vapor COMP Stealth (black/red) and receive it already. Looks very nice (posted pics on this thread on Friday).
