What warranty do you guys have that's only a $50 deductible?

The Verizon iPhone warranty has a $170 deductible (which is ridiculous!)

Nice, thanks guys!

I just checked it out and Applecare+ sounds like the best deal so I called and bought it. I called Verizon and told them I wanted to drop my TEC. The lady asked why and I explained the Applecare+ to her. She said that was a great deal and THANKED me for telling her about it so she can tell other customers about it. She agreed the Verizon TEC on the iPhone was ridiculous w/ their $170 deductible. Haha.

The small criticisms I have of the Vapor range all stem from one and the same thing.
- Pricing is borderline nuts, with most cases costing $99 - $150, plus shipping and taxes where applies.
- And because of the pricing, at 150 dollars per pop, one would expect NASA levels of precision and finish. But the product is actually not that precise.

Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t rattle and it’s not loose or anything, but in my book, for the money I expected it to be super precise and to fit like it was part of factory design. I expected the bumper to go all the way to the screen, all around the phone, few microns short of being like a watertight gasket. I certainly did not expect to see any part of the metal strip.

Partially because tolerances are too big, and partially because the whole assembly relies on rather low rent rubber padding inside the bumper the gaps around are fraction of a mm uneven which spoils the effect just a bit. On my Black Ops the padding is ever so slightly visible in the corners. Because tolerance was overshot by a mm or so, the more you line up the bumper to one side of the phone, the more gap you create and more of a silver strip you see on the other. If you lift your phone in the case up to the light, you'll see the light leaking through holes where the measurements are just slightly off.

Screen shield, although a mere freebie, is actually slightly too small. And then we have the back plates. Rather than it being proper back plate that is held by the edges of the bumper, the back plate in Pro versions is just a sticker, for the back, so with imprecise fit of the bumper itself it doesn’t cover ridges between back panel and bumper walls and dust and **** gets in there and is impossible to clean after couple of weeks.

Before you get wrong impression - it’s really good case, and the fit is very good by any regular standards. But we are not dealing with regular standards. If the vapor was 50 bucks I would give it 10 out of 5 starts for quality, but because it’s 150 bucks I'm sorry but I expect it to fit like a nano component on the motherboard of USS Enterprise. End of. Call me OCD, but the product, as it is now, just doesn't.

So all I can say is - it’s worth gettng only if you try to find one at fraction of the price on ebay, being sold by some guy who bought it for his Verizon phone just to discover it doesn’t fit. 50-70 bucks is the max this thing should cost.

Fantastic review, thanks!

I'm considering getting the Vapor pro spectra silver/silver for my coming white iphone 4"s. Can someone give me their feedback on receptions issues and wifi.I'm from Maryland if that helps and currently on the AT&T network.

Thanks in advance.

Vapor Pro Stealth arrives today!

Pictures / review to come :D

Edit: got it...

And one of the screws were cracked, so it's broken... wonderful. Time to get a replacement... you'd think ElementCase would verify that their screws were intact before shipping... /sigh

The case looks amazingly awesome, but it's useless.

Doesn't it come with two extra screws? Why don't you use one of them before the replacement comes?

Because they screw piece is lodged in there, it won't come out :(

Plus, I assume I'll have to send this one back then wait for they to receive it.. then they'll send me a new one.

I find it interesting that the real Element Vapors are experiencing the same issues as the knock-off vapors... Where's that suspicious eye smiley?

I was wondering if there is some kind of liquid rubber so we can put it on the inside of the case to prevent gps issues? or are the issues simply because of the metal blocking hmm?

Hey guys, i received my silver vapor pro chroma the other day from Tekcases, one of the screws on the top does not come out at all. Its in there so tight that when i try to force it, the tool that it comes with starts to twist. Currently on a solution from Tekcases. Hope it all works out as the case is beautiful.

I got my Vapor pro silver/silver this morning and after installing on my new white 4's I fell in love. No problem installing nor the signal. However mine didn't came with a pouch.

Does someone here has pictures of a vapor pro silver and pink on a white iPhone. I wanted to buy one for my wife.

*Ignore*Probably a stupid question, but has anyone dealt with GearMoxie for a replacement? I've looked around and seen a few happy stories, but just want to verify.

I'm starting to fear they're giving me the run around [let's leave it at that for now]. Maybe I'm crazy but I'd just like to know.*Ignore*

Thanks guys, appreciate it.

Edit: Nvm, I was crazy. GearMoxie rules ^_^

just get some superglue, and glue it to something.

when it hardens, just twist it out normally

should work right?

Also tried and didn't work. Used both Loctite and then Gorilla Glue for lulz and both failed.

On the plus side GearMoxie told me to just ship it back and they would send a replacement either later today if possible, if not tomorrow.

No complaints... Jenna [their rep] was beyond helpful. :)

Hey guys!

Just got my hands on a new Vapor Pro Black Ops edition case which I bought from the Tekcases official store on eBay.

Thing is, I'm not sure if Elementcase are making a slightly modified version of their case these days because the plastic orange corner is smaller than the design on the site, looks more like the size of the plastic corner on the first edition cases.

This is how mine looks:

Can anyone help me out?

Help you out with what? I don't believe anyone in here works for tekcases or elementcase. Why don't you contact them instead? They are the ones who can better help you than us :)

They sent you one of the early redesigns, the new ones should have the larger plastic piece, I would sent it back and demand that they sent me the newer design

Good luck contacting them. I sent them a message like 20-30 days ago. Nothing  Tried again and still nothing. Now they simply just closed my open ticket. No help, no solution to my question, no customer support.....

Hi,
maybe i am going to buy the Element ION 4 case. Has anyone here experience with that case? Does it fit well for the iPhone 4S? I hope it fits well and doesn't go off easily!
