Don't know why Element case is taking too long just to process a order. Should order from tekcases next time for faster shipping. I ordered mine yesterday and got today ofcoase I'm local :D

I got a killer deal from Element Case so that's why I ordered from them directly.

Do tell!!!!

He means he is a shill for Elementcase :D look at his posts here and in the fake vapor thread. Seems like Element employees are all over this and the fake vapor thread. Putting my flame suit on now to get ready for personal attacks lol

That's funny... a designer?! You mean someone else sent you a PM, too? Maybe you should re-read that message.

Why didn't I get a reply from you? You called me out on my "first hand knowledge" and I laid it all out for you. What's wrong - you weren't willing to eat humble pie when you realized that you're not the authority you thought you were on Element Case manufacturing?

Here's a link to the thread, if anyone is interested in it, with the conversation he's referring to where I tell him that his theory is wrong that Element Case products are made in the same factories that the make counterfeit copies or that the parts originate overseas and are merely assembled in the US.

I wear a real Rolex and denounce fake Rolexes, so does that mean I am a shill for Rolex as well? Or maybe the reality is that I have principles on not buying or using fake products. I found it despicable that other companies would make fakes down to the authentication certificate. What's worse is that people have no problem buying fakes.

I like the design of the Vapor cases so I bought two of them for a great deal of combining the 10% off and the credit for buying a gift certificate that I used to make the purchase.

I had a Vaja case on my iPhone 3 and currently on my 4 and both of those are real. I guess I must be a shill for Vaja too.

It's funny how people like to accuse others of things without any real proof, but this is the internet.

I just addressed the fallacy of comparing fake Rolex purchasing to fake Element purchasing. Rolex watches are highly justified for the price premium that they demand. Rolex is decades and decades old. They use genuine exotic metals where applicable. For example, real platinum and gold. Not plated. Their higher-end watches are hand-made. Their quality is proven and so it their customer service and warranties. Resell value is often more than what you paid years later.

Element has none of these properties unless there is something really special going on behind closed doors. I wish Anvil would PM me as well as I have a better handle on aluminum products from working in the snowboard industry.

However, Anvil's ethical stance is a sound one. One that I can't argue. Yours is not though. You are making invalid comparisons. You talk about principle, but don't apply that to the business you defend.

What's worse than buying a knock-off to me is supporting a company that doesn't really show any justification for the prices they charge. I won't buy e13ctron knock-offs because of my principle. I apply my principle equally all-around. I don't shop at Wal-Mart because of their business practices. I shop at Costco because of the founder's lack of greed. He capped his salary at $300,000. He could be making millions in salary on top of his shares. He refuses to. His employees benefit from this. Compare the general mood amongst Wal-Mart employees to Costco ones.

The type of arguments you bring up are the same types that American Big 3 auto supporters bring up. Big 3 might be getting a lot better, but they effed up a great deal especially GM with the EV1 debacle. People supported the Big 3 so fiercely because of this anti-Japanese car mentality. Because of this blind support, the Big 3 got arrogant and saturated the market with crap automobiles. They did nothing to advance hybrid design. They allowed Toyota to take over. All because they had so much blind support solely because they are American brands.

So now you see my side of the argument.

A lot of people would disagree with you. Even though Rolex may use real platinum and gold, the cost of the material doesn't not equate to the the thousands of dollars in difference. And their watches are not hand made. Rolex has one of the most modern automated manufacturing facility in the world. And the reason why resell is higher years later is because they keep raising the prices. My platinum Yacht-Master has gone up thousands of dollars since I bought it even though nothing has changed about the watch. Material cost may have gone up, the US dollar may have gone down and so forth, but all of that still doesn't equate to the price increases. They increased their prices because they can.

Do you really even know what my stance or principle is? From your response, you don't because you're grasping at air and drawing your own conclusions. I commented on how owning a real product does not necessary make you an employee of them and you're claiming I was making a comparison between Rolex and Element Case. I made no direct comparisons to anything in my post.

So let me present my stance. I do not support fakes and will continue to denounce them. A business puts in the energy, time and money to come up with a product. They spend money on R&D, marketing and creating a brand that they are associating to. A fake lives off of the legitimate business efforts without putting in the same level of investment. You made the comment in another thread stating, "I frown on anyone who flips these cases as being genuine." But you don't frown upon the companies who are making fake cases with fake certificates of authenticity in their attempt to pass as being genuine? To me, that sounds hypocritical.

I got something i think you'll like...

I already know and don't need to be roasted about the ear pad- I don't like it either but it is COVERING A NASTY CHIP IN THE GLASS where the glass meets the stainless steel which is uglier than Patrick Ewing(aethists only proof of evolution) so lay off it. it was the unconscienable chip or the tacky ear pad; I chose the ear pad... For those of you who are actually using the white "clarino ear pad" and are having issues with the proximity sensor, you have to color in the inside edges of the ear pad with black ink (see picture 8), very carefully I might add, because once the ink runs onto the leather front it's irreversible, and then position it perfectly distanced on all sides and then reset your network settings- pain in the butt but it finally works and stopped draining my battery on phone calls.

*** but anyway, This case is a mix of the silver comp and the patriot edition (patriot editions white polycarbonate piece and the 3 cut out rubber bumper clear thing mixed with the silver comps aluminum body)

Lemme know what u think...

I find it unconscienably vexing that You ppl are comparing rolexs and cars (which sell in the thousands) to rinky dinky aluminum phone cases. A more appropriate comparison would be store brand milk and hood milk. Seriously.

The price is steep for theses cases, but the demand is there and the machinery and manpower that it takes to run companies like ElementCase, I believe justifies the price ta to cover expenses and pay employees and develop new and improved products and for profit as well. Apple sells its worthless plasticy rubbery stretching out, dirt magnety bumpers for $30. That's more of a rip off to me than $120 on an innovative, perfectly fitting, non stretching, non yellowing protective, stylish and long lasting aluminum case. Peace out. Lol

you are comparing aluminum made cases (OEM and Knockoff) to a rolex vs fake rolex ? Get back to reality, some wiring gone wrong perhaps ?

Isn't this tedious? Someone has something good to say about Element, OMG Shrill!!! Someone buys knock offs, SUPPORT USA!! Give it a rest ladies.

I hate to be to be the bearer of bad news but some of you are acting as if buying aluminum cell phone accessories from a US company will actually have an important role in rebuilding the American economy, and I hate to tell you this but the US is in such moral and fiscal decline it is irreversibly bound for the same exact crisis that Greece and the other European countries are going through right now; except for the fact that we are bigger than they, and the bigger you are, the harder you fall. Almost every state is bankrupt, almost every government program has failed to achieve anything that resembles a balanced budget and here we are pretending buying an aliminum case would help anything, lol. The corrupt governments, federal reserve, world banks and one world order organizers have most of you fooled and blind to any knowledge of truth.

I love the US, but it is far from where it was and where it should be and not Newt Gingrich nor any other president could change anything. The whole system is corrupt and beyond repair.

But yes, help ElementCase and not foreign countries with your pennies for a few years until the US falls lol

Seriously people? this is a friggin cell phone case for a cell phone! Lets put things in perspective and leave the philosophical debates to the off topic section. Its there for a reason. Please say it out loud, its a CELL PHONE CASE. Enough with the Rolex watches and real this and fake that. No one cares how many watches you own, real or fake or how many thousands of dollars it has gone up in value. Please get real.

I wasn't comparing anything directly. Please read what is stated and not what you think is there.

I agree. I posted that I ordered and got a good deal from Element and someone accuses me of being a shill.

I'll post photos of my cases when I get them and make my own decision if they are worth the money or not.

I said their high-end watches are hand-made and this is true. If you even do light research on this you will find it's true. I also addressed that the price premium isn't all about the parts. Rolex has decades and decades of proven durability and resell value behind them along with great customer service. This commands a premium. I'm not suggesting that they are the best watches. There are plenty of comparable quality watches. Heck, a good Swiss-made watch will last as long. My point is, Rolex isn't some brand like LV where it is purely about brand name. Brand name plays a big role in Rolex, but it's also the quality and resell value of them as well.

You did make an analogy comparing the two practices. Why did you even bring up the LV or Rolex subject then? Just to chat about? No, you were describing your purchasing ethics. PRINCIPLES. I was pointing out that the analogy you used is very, very different from that of a person who is purchasing a fake Element case. I also never called you an employee of Element.

So let me present my stance. I do not support fakes and will continue to denounce them. A business puts in the energy, time and money to come up with a product. They spend money on R&D, marketing and creating a brand that they are associating to. A fake lives off of the legitimate business efforts without putting in the same level of investment. They aren't passing it as genuine. Ask any one of those sellers and they will tell you it's fake. They are going to great lengths to copy every aspect of the case so I won't argue that.

But this is a gun ownership type argument you are making. Do you blame the gun or the person that shoots it? I blame the person that shoots it. I will frown on eBay sellers trying to pass a fake case off as a real thing. I won't frown on someone who is knowingly purchasing a knock-off. That is petty and arrogant. Are you really judging someone's personal life based on a $20 purchase of a knock-off iPhone case? That is very petty don't you think?

Again, I say use your critical eyes on these companies you support as well. So far, Anvil and DougNG have failed to stand up to the scrutiny of justifying costs associated with Element Vapor Pros.

And I will debate this as long as you guys keep posting condescending remarks towards the people purchasing these knock-offs. You were downright antagonistic in the Fake Vapor Pro thread Vudoo. You actively went into that thread to start a fire.

----------

I'll post photos of my cases when I get them and make my own decision if they are worth the money or not.

Don't lie Vudoo. You went into the Fake Vapor Pro specific thread and made some antagonistic posts. You were arrogant and condescending there. You are not innocent.

Some might be calling Element customers shill, but I am not. If you have the money to spend, spend it. I'm not going to judge you. It's your money and I would assume you are a tax payer like myself.

Just because you choose to spend your money differently than myself, is no reason for me to attack your personal views.

However, mine was very openly attacked to the point where my review on one of the knock-off cases was locked and shut down. All the while, review threads about knock-off e13ctrons and Swords, and Cleaves remain without any opposition.

It seems Element customers have more to fight about. Understandable as you guys made a pretty big investment. But seriously, do you need to be so antagonistic towards other human beings for spending their hard-earned money the way that they want?

Don't buy knock-offs if you don't like it. Stay away from the knock-off threads. But don't expect people like me to remain silent when you are borderline attacking me personally.

Why don't you get a White Moshi iVisor screen protector? The outside boarders of the protector is all white just like the White iPhone bezel. When it's on you can't even tell that it's not part of the phone. Of course it only comes in Anti-Glare if that's OK. If you like AG it's a great protector.

So far, Anvil and DougNG have failed to stand up to the scrutiny of justifying costs associated with Element Vapor Pros.

To clarify, we have explained the process ad nauseum. You keep trying to draw a relationship between the complexity of manufacturing and it's costs to durability

I don't know about Anvil, but I'm not particularly interested in talking to a brick wall anymore

If you don't want people to denounce fakes on the fake vapor case thread, then I'm not going to let the discussion continue on the real vapor case thread.

I'm taking this debate over to here.

The iPhone is anything but a "cell phone". Arguably of course.
