Then while we're at it, let's create a another thread just for Element Case complaints, another one for reviews, another for what accessories work with it, etc. See where I'm going? You can easily scan through both element case threads and view pictures without reading anything. Theres absolutely no purpose in another thread.

I do understand what you're saying and apparently the moderators agree as the new thread is now closed. As of now, it is not difficult to scan through the pages of this thread to find the pictures but the last thread had 3000+ posts and only a handful of pictures. I understand that this isn't an element forum and can respect that this case should only have one active thread at a time. I wish more people who have received there case would post pictures for us.

That's because in almost two months since the case was announced, only three real photographs have been published by Element Case. Two of which have been emailed only to those who registered to preorder.

The old thread was shut down within less than a week after the first cases were received by (un)lucky customers. That's why there's not many photos there.

If you still consider yourself a potential customer, contact Element Case and ask for photographs. Maybe -- one in a billion chance -- they will pull their heads out of their rears and realise there might be people out there who do not have access to these forums and still think the prototype renders on their website represent the final product they are paying for. Maybe they realise that and provide real photographs. The least you could get out of this would be a first hand experience with their customer service, whatever their response to your request may be.

Think about it. It is a win-win situation.

Found another Element employee! :D

Just received this reply from "Russell" when I inquired about a refund due to the reception killing nature (cell, gps, wifi) of the Vapor.

Chris,

Which version of the case do you have? We are working on possible solutions as we speak.

Russell @ elementcase

Looks like there might be yet another version on the drawing board...wow...they've really got to work on testing these damn things before releasing them.

WE are the testers...iPhone 4 comes out, case is mocked up, us greedy people with too much money to waste jump on it like flies on poop, they struggle to meet demand and no test time, put out cases untested and late and etc etc...

Well I'd think that they'd just make sure that they have the case right BEFORE even offering it for sale...but that's just me. What do I know?

LOL I love this little tidbit on their FAQ

"Q:Can I call you day and night and ask you when my Vapor case will be shipped or if it has been shipped?

A:No, please continue to email us."

:D

There's more than you think. It looks like asleep did the work for you! :)

There's also youtube videos on it.

I just transferred some dough from my bank acc to my Paypal acc. It said it takes 6-8 before the money gets there. Paypal is pretty slow to transfer money. That could be some of the delay with getting refunds.

Definately eBay any case you don't want. I put my v2 silver/silver up with a buy it now @150 and it sold in 10 minutes.

Yeah, looking like ~$200 is a good number at this time for an unboxed +carbon.

Mine is on its way here.

Got on the wait list in early July. Received the 'time to order' e-mail on 8/10. Chose the Black/Blue version - I was in the mid 5700's. The form I filled out indicated I was to be in run 4 and was to ship on 8/16.

No notification yesterday, so I emailed today and immediately got two responses:

An order you recently placed on our website has had its status changed.

The status of order #57xx is now Awaiting Shipment. This was a change from awaiting fulfillment.

Second e-mail:
A package was processed for you on 08/17/2010 and will ship in the next 3-5 business days via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail, Small Flat Rate BOX to the following address:

So based on what I read, it'll be a few days before I can track it (they ship it) and a few more days to come. I'm in So Cal so it should not be more than two days once they do ship it.

Holy crap! You guys weren't kidding about these things selling for so much on eBay. I put mine on eBay (no carbon backplate) last night before I went to bed, and just for sh**s and giggles set the BuyItNow price at $150. I get to work this morning and the dang thing is sold! Wow. You all are right...screw returning them. Sell them!

got some new pictures for you guys and gals

this is my second vapor 4,the gunmetal and blue one was v1 so i emailed them and they sent me a new one so i went with silver and blue and damn does it look good!!!!enjoy as far as i know its the only one out there right now..

elongated headphone jack

Well, mine is arriving today...

...haven't posted on here before, and frankly after asking Element to cancel my case because of the GPS issues figured I'd just have to wait for the refund...

Well - they shipped me the case anyway, so now I have some decisions to make. I like the look (ordered the red/black + carbon) and small form factor but really don't want to take a big hit in data performance and GPS reception. Trying to figure out if I should open it and try it...or just put it on eBay and make $50 for my troubles...

The USPS priority tracking went "live" today and is showing the package to arrive at my house today...and yes, likely the last pre-order of this type I'll gamble on...

This seems to be a reoccurring tactic with Element...don't respond to any emails that are sent to them at all, then when a customer requests a refund or files a dispute with Paypal over non-shipment, they ship the case. If they would just read and reply to emails and deal with customers, they wouldn't have these problems. They shipped mine AFTER replying to my Paypal dispute in which I requested a refund and not to ship the case. Almost like it was in spite of my dispute filed. But then again, if they hadn't, I wouldn't have been able to make $60 off of it on eBay.

Actually Element refunded me when I opened a Paypal dispute, they did not ship it.

Those pics of the blue and gun look great. I wonder why in the hell i'm sitting here admiring pics of other peoples cases on the 18th of Aug, still with no tracking # and I paid on July 3rd for 2 cases.
son of a @%$**^. Element please get it together before the prices drop on Ebay : )
