. My silver / silver will-be delivered today which was ordered back on July 9th #50xx. lOOks as if it was worth the wait. Even though I'll be adding additional insulation to combat signal issues .
No. Negative or positive, it was just a really bad review. And that horrible camera. You couldn't see anything. It was just bad. Not very well done.
I agree. If you do a review, do a good one. Don't babble two minutes about the packaging! I can see nothing too! I mean, it's like the iLounge review, the dusty phone with fingerprints, the sorry attempt for a review written through less than ten sentences! ANyway I really like these last pictures of the silver/blue!

If you get yours today being 50xx and I don't have mine today when I get home....fock, I dunno...I'm probably gonna snap...I'm 46xx "shipped" over a week ago....
I want to be very careful when I say I am not seeing any major signal issues. Obviously this doesn't mean other won't either.... But for now I haven't seen any noticeable change with 3g, wifi, or GPS. I did notice that my 3rd party USB charger cabe won't fit anymore, but I think I can shave off my cable to fit in there. It's a hassle..but what can I do...
Cynikal.Mindset could it be delayed do to the color(s) ordered or changes requested in the order?
edit: My order had been in "shipped status" as of Wednesday Aug 11, awaiting element parts. It made it to the PO either yesterday or the day before. I'm in SoCal.
no, well according to Adam last week he said its because its an "international" shipment...he personally gave me the shipping/tracking number and now for a week it hasn't shown up on USPS's site as ever being scanned or whatever...I understand the pre printing of labels and all that but it doesn't take a week to gather a bunch of orders and bring them to the post office...especially when orders well after mine have been shipped and received.
The whole thing has gone way wrong for them. I would fly down there and help them out for free and get their show sorted out and going proper but I guess they just like monkey business.

It is going to impair your signal, be it wifi, 3G or the GPS. The question is whether you have an existing strong signal to begin with. If that is the case, then the loss may well be tolerable. But if your signal is not strong to begin with or you go to a marginal area it seems that your signal is going to be knocked down by 10-20 dBm which may well tip things.
The problem with shrouding an antenna in metal affecting signal quality is not some abstruse science. It is really basic stuff which any buyer should be aware of. Some, however, don't seem that concerned with it.
I also received my case yesterday and after reading all the reviews on here I was trying to still keep and open mind. So far so good. I have not noticed any really big change in signal or reception with it on or off. GPS, WiFi and 3G are all good so far. Only bad thing is the case I received has some uneven milling on the bottom front side of the case which is very noticeable and ruff. I emailed EC and they gave me the RA to send it back for a replacement but I replied asking how long it would take to get the replacement back after waiting for a month and a half for this one. Ordered on 7/6 and recieved on 8/18. Here are some not so great pics of Iron Apple Vapor 4 v2.

Thanks. Wanted something different. Has anyone done an exchange with EC yet? Just wanted to know from the time they sent their case back to the time they got their replacement about how long it took. I know there are still people waiting on their 1st case but was just curious.
I got a shipping notice on Monday. It seems to take about 3 emails to the same people to get a response. Said even though I received a shipping and tracking number they don't anticipate it shipping for 2 weeks, it will be longer I they have any supply or inventory issues.
Are you sure it shipped a week ago? My email said shipped on Aug 11 USPS priority International, did my order really ship? . My order # again, 34**
According to the USPS web site.
"Tracking is not available for Priority Mail International Flat Rate Envelopes or Priority Mail International Small Flat Rate Boxes." I only paid 25 US to get it to Canada. What was your shipping charge? I was sure that 25 bucks would have gotten me tracking info but I guess not. On a positive note Element is getting much better at replying to emails. I bitched at them yesterday and they responded today.
One thing is clear. Even if this turns out be the best case ever created. They do not have a single clue on how to run a business,how to treat customers or how to say we effed up. I get the impression that they find our valid complaints annoying.
It is very, very obvious that shipping notices were sent out to keep customers from cancelling orders and placing disputes. Even though no order got shipped, pretty crappy.
I really hope you get it before you leave.

Why don't you read the 400 other posts in this thread or in the other thread, it has been covered in depth on both. It has some effect, mostly in areas with low signal.
