Element Vapor Case

Well, I got mine today, order # 53xx, after filing a PayPal dispute because I just wanted to cancel and get my money back, but once I got it, (after two weeks of being ignored by Element) I canceled the dispute, and it sold for a $70 profit within 30 minutes on eBay (waiting on the buyer for payment though). Average eBay-ers seem to pay between $170 and $200 right now, a bit less without the carbon back. Take it as you will.

Now waiting to see when the 4voi case is available. If that doesn't work I give up on cases ...

At this point, by the time you get one... it won't be profitable. You had your chance.
 
Argh I pre-ordered on August 6 I want to order already, this is taking too long. Well I suppose this is a good thing since I haven't decided on a color yet. The silver is looking great, but I'm still having a hard time deciding to either go with silver or gunmetal and if I should go with a black right piece. Anyone with gunmetal willing to take pics?

These look amazing, but the price, the fact I live in the UK, availability, and reception/GPS issues have really turned me off this. But the nicest cases I've seen so far!

According to the USPS web site.
"Tracking is not available for Priority Mail International Flat Rate Envelopes or Priority Mail International Small Flat Rate Boxes." I only paid 25 US to get it to Canada. What was your shipping charge? I was sure that 25 bucks would have gotten me tracking info but I guess not. On a positive note Element is getting much better at replying to emails. I bitched at them yesterday and they responded today.
One thing is clear. Even if this turns out be the best case ever created. They do not have a single clue on how to run a business,how to treat customers or how to say we effed up. I get the impression that they find our valid complaints annoying.
It is very, very obvious that shipping notices were sent out to keep customers from cancelling orders and placing disputes. Even though no order got shipped, pretty crappy.

I really hope you get it before you leave.

I got a reply to my email, I was assured that it went out as he said he packed it himself and sent it out himself. I'll take his word on it and accept it for what it is. I'm pretty sure somebody at Element is watching this thread as they seem to reply to emails after seeing a rant on here about the whole ordeal.

as for shipping prices, I paid $25 for it and its supposed to take 6-10days. I also paid globaldirectparts $25 for shipping on my white back cover and I got that sent purolator 3 days from China with tracking information that I could follow from china right to my house.

I'll check the mail yet once again today...but I'm not holding my breath

I'm sure they are reading this thread. It would make sence for them too. It allows them instant access to feedback on their produce. Plus it let's them put out small fires before it can spread. I'm like you, I just want my order, that's it. I'm not interested in selling it or sending it back. It's still the coolest effing case I've ever seen.

You still want it when you find out that your BT devices will cut in/out? Reduced GPS/phone signal? Cant connect any 3rd party connectors or docks without dremeling?

You sir, are a glutton for punishment. :)

can you prove that ALL the cases reduce the signal?
Some say it does but there are others who haven't noticed problems like that! :)

I had a V2 version case and I don't think the company has the resources to have various production runs within a version. The people who don't see the problems aren't using BT devices or plug their cases into 3rd party accessories. The phone signal could well be how strong your signal reception is normally (just like the iPhone death grip issue).

Also, I don't have to "prove" anything. I had the case and experienced problems with it IMMEDIATELY. It was a gorgeous case but if my BT headset that I use (BB 903's) doesn't work properly and I can't plug the case into my car integration kit, I have no use for it.
 
I got my case today and am very happy. They didn't change my colors like I asked but it's ok. I have had no reception issues so far at all and wifi seems fine. It feels nice in my hand and light. However I did just attempt to use my Tom Tom GPS app and ran into issues there. It says no signal. So phone and data is ok just no GPS.

I don't think it's right that people who do not have the case or don't want it run their mouths about it. If someone who has case is having issues it's helpful but for people to just throw in their two cents because they like starting stuff or criticizing people is ridiculous.

My kitchen is the ultimate death grip chamber and it doesn't happen.

I haven't tested Bluetooth. I'll give that a shot. Not sure how to really quantify GPS. It appears to at least work. 3rd party accessories are an obvious issue.

What color did u get?
 
They pulled the vapor from there website... But I think it's probably because there updating the color options or adding custom engraving
 
I pre-ordered on 7/23...

anyone around this date placing their orders? If not what is the latest date that anyone here has placed their orders on? Just wanted to get some sense of a time estimate as to when I'll be able to order.
 
I registered to pre-order on 7/5, and just got my ordering code 2 days ago. I'm not sure how typical this is. The dates seem to be all over the place.

No, I just can't base how the case will preform until I have it. It's been 47 effing days since I paid so of course I'm anxious to get my hands on it after waiting all this time. The reports are mixed some people say it works and others not.
If I find any slight issues I will weight them against the aesthetics. If I loose functions that I need then I will send it back. Or option 3, wait for version 3 that should surface anytime now and exchange for that.
