I was hoping those would go away, but I've been quoted too many times to delete. :D

As a small business owner myself I give these guys a little more leeway than the rest of y'all.

One, maybe two, guys are answering emails? This isn't a big outfit. This isn't a product for people expecting an email once a day, or a week. It's a custom case that probably takes quite awhile to produce, at least an hour or more per case I'd bet?

It's not a mass produced piece of Chinese crap plastic garbage.

You whined and whined then canceled your order. Why are you still even in this thread? Seriously, go away.
Who are you? I can do what I want. Just wanted to see pics, now go back to drinking please

Don't know who this may help, but was pleased to find out the iPod/iPhone connection cable in my car (BMW 335i) fits perfectly with the vapor case. I have several docks and aftermarket cables that unfortunately don't work at all with the Vapor, but pleased to find out it works fine it the car :)

You're lucky. The connector on my Lexus integration kit didn't fit. :(

Hey guys, we're posting our final review/thoughts about the Element Vapor on Gear Diary today.

Bottom line preview.

We absolutely love the look of the case. It's the slickest case we've seen yet. However, all three of us who tested the case each saw the same exact decrease in signal when using it.

In places we'd normally have 4-5 bars we'd almost always drop down to 2-3 when using the Vapor.

The full review will be up on the site shortly.

I experienced the same exact problem and ended up selling it, I loved the aesthetics but a signal drop to an already problematic network didn't work for me.

Looking forward to the full review.

Nothing in the mail again today. My order says shipped
USPS PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL. I don't feel like much of a priority here on
day 55

Got my black/black case today. Despite requesting for no decals, it did arrive with them on. No biggie.

For those concerned about reception, I have seen no noticible difference at all.

With the case off, I monitored the bars for about 2-3 minutes: 2-3 bars. With the case on, I again monitored the bars for 2-3 minutes: 2-3 bars. GPS finds me almost instantle just as before.

However, GPS is quite a bit off. Doesn't bother me too much. I'll report back if anything changes. It may just be my location? Or it's probably the case. Hahaha.

It doesnt bother you?? Whats the point of a GPS if it isnt accurate. I tried to love this case, but it simple lowers the signal too much to even consider it for longer than 5 minutes.

Everybody's different, brother. If it bothers you that much, you're in the wrong thread. Everyone here pretty much knew what they were getting into signal-wise and have the option of a refund or return. Otherwise, some people don't even use GPS and use their phone for completely different reasons than you. Don't be so quick to judge.

Finally! Thanks Larry! *goes to read*

EDIT:

I pretty much agree completely with the review. I'm gonna use it for a while. Hopefully the pros outweight the cons for me. If not, well... eBay or refund I suppose. I am loving it right now, though.

I have a 335i as well. Very pleased to see that the connector works :)

Kinda bummed about Larrys review. I usually have 5 to 3 bars on the microcell at home and 5 bars everywhere else so I'll see how it goes.

These take so long to get I bet they hold their value on Ebay for awhile.

Most of them are selling at over $200 on eBay too.

That's what I meant, that they'll be selling high for awhile. I don't think they'll ever sell for less than they're sold for. Takes too long to get, people want instant gratification and will pay more for it.

Yeaaaaaaaah, I got a tracking number. Boooooooooooo, It doesn't work.
Yeaaaaaaaah, I got my $40. dollar refund from Element for the carbon skins
Boooooooooo, Larry and his crew just took 30 points off Element stock.

White/rhino I think if I had been waiting as long as you have i would have gone completely insane by now!!! But yikes doesn't larry's review make you want to cancel? Or are you just thinking you've waited this long that you might as well see what it's like at this point?
What is element saying to you about the delay?

got my red black today - impressions
1. good fit, high quality pieces
2. dropped 1-2 bars
3. gps works fine
4. carbon fiber back looks and feels cheap compared to my SGP CF - SGP fits better too

I don't get it. I wonder if in mounting the case it at times touches the antenna if care isn't taken. just a theory but repeatedly putting on and taking off the case may compress the insulation. I put it on and haven't messed with it. I still get 4 even on occasion 5 bars (rare). with the apple bumper I was getting 3 bars. I was watching it after ios 4.02 up to the time the vapor arrived in preparation.

I guess I should consider myself lucky. the Greenberg group's review certainly shows that is rarely the case. Of course they were all testing in the same office and/or the same city.

I posted about this way earlier in the thread, but, at least in my case, I know that at certain times my Vapor was coming into contact with the metal antenna. I could tell that the thin sides of the Vapor were defecting enough at times to touch. And, as you stated (and I stated as well), the insulating material they use compresses over time to the point that it's not really providing any support. To test my theory of the Vapor touching the antenna, I put a thin strip of receipt paper between my antenna and Vapor, and tightened down the Vapor (keep in mind that this was in an area of the Vapor where there was no cushioning material installed. When the Vapor was installed, this very thin piece of paper couldn't be pulled through the case. If the Vapor wasn't touching here, this piece of paper should have been able to be pulled right out. But you could feel the pressure of the Vapor pressing on the paper, not allowing it to pull through. My signal was total crap after installing the Vapor as well. As an experiment, I completely insulated the entire inside of the Vapor with an insulating rubber material that I have, and after that, strangely enough, my signal was perfectly fine, and my GPS became far more accurate. But I felt as though I shouldn't have to "fix" an $80 case, and instead of dealing with the nightmare that is Element Case's customer service, I just sold it on eBay for a profit. But...after I insulated the entire inside of the Vapor myself, all problems I had noticed before were corrected or greatly reduced.
