Just released is the first in our new "Extreme Metals" collection of Limited Vapor Cases.
The AR15-V has a non-glare tactical finish that was achieved by glass bead blasting
the surface prior to anodizing. The super matte black finish is free of logos and
is laser engraved with a model number and individual serial number.
222 will be available for first release (only 25 available with Carbon Fiber Back plates).
The Nickel is the next edition to our new Extreme Metals line of Limited Edition Vapor Cases.
Nothing comes close to the warm, deep luster of real Nickel plating.
Each case is CNC machined and carefully hand grained prior to the nickel finish.
It's the perfect compliment to the Apple logo on the bottom of the iPhone 4.
This case is both quiet and bold.

I kind of thought there would be a Limited Edition even when I first saw it on their website. So what's new?!? The material?!? It's not aluminum anymore?
Are the Extreme Metal photos renders or something? It seems that the phone is bulkier to me ( from the photos ).
By the way I like the black/silver.

Still aluminum but with different platting options, same exact size & shape... I do believe
.Well, I am on my third vV2 case. I put on the first one I got and it didnt have any problems at all. Got a good signal and had not change with the case on as it off. I sold the two I had (good resale market) and ordered another and it came in yesterday. This one looks exactly the same as the other(even has the uneven mating surface on the top) and My signal sux. I have tried it in the same places and it is two to three bars less. In my office I was getting two or three bars with my last case which is the same as with no case and the new case I just got shows "no service". I am not sure what the deal is I have a lucky labs skin on and put electrical tape inside the case to line it. I have thought about selling this case also. I love the case but the signal sux and I am in a pretty good service area. I am not sure if certain cases are having problems or what.
How are you even ordering the cases? I can't even get the ok to pre order and have been waiting almost 6 weeks!
I registered on July 7th and just got my email today. Just ordered the Nickel plated version.

Yes I registered on the 7th as well and just received my email with the order code. I just need to decide whether or not I'm still wanting to order it though. I kinda lost my enthusiasm about a month ago. Blue and Silver (or gunmetal) look pretty sweet though!
Sheez! I didn't register to preorder until the 31st of July. I guess i'm gonna have to keep waiting!
This thread has made it an on again off again affair so far. At this point it looks like I'll take my shot and order one when the opportunity presents itself. But if there's another negative swing I may have to rethink it!

I love that flat black one. OMG. These cases are slick! It's too bad they don't work for some people!
The new vapor cases look really nice. But i cant justify the extra twenty dollars. I mean i can afford it, since im already dropping 80 bucks. But what does it add, just a different look? Does nickel plating add something that i dont know about besides a matte silver finish? and does the glass procedure they used on the flat black add anything? I looked at these cases and almost considered changing my order to one of them (currently black/black). But do they really add anything besides look?
NO! limited edition = more money for basically the same thing = makes you feel like you're in an exclusive club.
Okay, back from a mini-honeymoon...had to cut it short for various reasons and still jack squat...emailed them today, hopefully this all gets resolved in a timely manner so I can move on to other things.
BTW, wedding was perfect and everybody had an amazing time

Congrats man, That' awesome. I hope you have more luck than I did. The case makes my iphone totally useless. I guess I will have to send mine back : (
W/R this is a sad state of affairs with your long awaited Vapor Case. Lets not give up the ship. By chance does your case resemble mine after you upgraded the EC supplied insulation? This did the trick for my phone as I remove all but the EC mystery material, other than the on/off button EC stuff. In your area do you normally only have one or two bars of signal strength?
Mine looks exactly like yours now and it did nothing for me and I even have a microcell ten feet from me and still lose a bar sometimes which has never happened before.
