I did not apply a code either, I just clicked the link to the limited edition cases and ordered. Mine went through too. I guess we did not need the code.

It's my understanding they check the code before they fulfill the order, if you don't have a code you go to the back of the line.

Hmm, I'm sure they can match the email address at least. I got the order confirmation and paypal receipt so I'll give them a week. Meh, if they can't figure it out then refund. I am pretty sure that before I could not order period. It was not until I received their email that the page that allows me to buy showed up....

My code came on Sept 3, I ordered on the 4th, received the shipping notification (which means jack diddley) on the 10th and the case arrived on the 20th. But I pre-registered back in the beginning of July around the 5th or 6th. I see people getting all bent about I placed my order 2 months ago and nothing yet, the website says you must pre-register, its not right that they take your money anyways, but come on after reading this and the previous thread does anyone really think that if you order without a code you might just slip by and get a case before people who followed instructions. I still think it is really BAD business for Element to take your money regardless, dont get me wrong. Let this be a lesson for line jumpers.

off my soap box now:p

Riiight. Here's the thing. I got the code, just simply forgot to put it in. You are right on the taking the money part. It's simple....they sent me the e-mail...could they be that dumb to not put two and two together when I have forgotten to put in the precious order number? Also like I have said I could not order anything until I got the email and clicked on their link at the time that was stated (12noon PST). I don't take this as seriously as others so I'll see what happens..

This is what I also believe. It doesn't hurt to send them an email with your order ID and the promotional code. That's what I just did just in case. This whole process is a wild goose chase haha.

Mine went through without a problem (Per EC). You should be alright

I waited a long time to get the Red/Black V2 in the UK. The phone signal performance is fine, wi-fi signal strength has dropped off slightly but the GPS signal has been killed off big time. I simply can't use the case for GPS apps.

The other frustrations are things I should have looked into more such as the only the official iPhone charger fits into the case, none of my third party gear will dock with the case on. Apart from Apple, not one headphone jack from all the pairs of headphones I own will fit into the case. I know, the element website says they cannot gaurantee accessories will fit with the case on.

The GPS is a deal breaker for me so with regret I have sold the case after only having it a few days :(

I'm to in the UK and have had the case on 2 days, so far I've not had probs with signal or Gps as yet... But I do have SPG side protection sticker things on. Don't know if this as made a difference or not?

I received mine yesterday, extreme metal, aluminium colour, the IP4 is a very good looking phone in it's own right, IMHO the Vapor case does not make the phone look any better, but it doesn't make it look any worse, it still looks very good, all in all, Im quite chuffed, no reception problems to report at the moment. The case does what I want it to do, it doesn't disguise the phone so much as to make it ugly, as some of the more extreme variations of protection do, I have one of the Bubble leather bags to give it protection from keys and change when in my pocket, this combination seems just right for me.

I have had mine for a couple of days now, I didn't think that I had a problem with signal, having now taken the phone to places where I know I had good/full signal coverage unfortunately that assumption has now proved to be wrong, I really wanted to like this case, it looks absolutely stunning, but, my main use for the phone, funnily enough, is as a phone, the signal loss was too great to forgive, I could never get full bars when the case was attached to the phone, real shame, it really is.

I have just ordered some after your recommendation, the case looks so good Im willing to try other options.

One thing I have noticed from the Vapor is if you have the screen on for a long time, say 20 min to half hour the back side of the phone gets pretty hot. Never noticed it with the Incase Snap and the iFrogz Luxe Lean. Could be the difference in the way plastic dissipates heat as opposed to the way CF does. Only seems to get hot when the screen is on playing music with the screen off it stays cool as ice. Any thoughts or insight.

Just an update for those interested in the Nickel case.

As some previous posts point out, the case WILL tarnish... quite significantly. If you are looking for a shiny case, then keep a microfiber cloth on hand at all times or opt for a different color.

Personally, I am liking the look of the case as it darkens (though wish it was a little more even). It almost looks more like titanium on the sides which have tarnished the most. I was actually surprised how shiny and polished the case looked when I first got it and wished I got the AR-15 version at the time. Now that it has darkened, I like it more.

Hey guys. I've been talking with elementcase abot how I think its not fair, that only a select group of people are able to order the limited extreme metal versions due to preorder code waits. They basically told me, when it gets to my turn, how will i know they won't have even more extreme metal versions that i want? So they are designing more it seems. Here's the e-mail anyway

Technically we did have special cases to Group 5, and we like to think of the special edition cases as an extra thanks to those who have waited patiently without complaining. And as we stated, we will have limited edition cases for each group going forward. How do you know you won't like a different special edition case that we offered for the very first time in your group and you were able to purchase it?

Thanks for the quick reply. However, you reiterated my point. You are introducing a new product. saying that, you are only offering the extreme metals to those who already preordered for the regular cases. Bam. done. their choice has been made. but Now, you are only giving those select few a choice that no one before them had, and possibly none after. That is why I think it should have been a separate preorder list for the extreme line. I hope you can agree. Also, I would like to say good job guys. I know it's very hard to satisfy the masses. thanks again.

The AR-15 may be available, we can't guarantee that it will or won't be. Unfortunately at the time that the pre-order list was setup, I don't even think the design team knew about them either.

ok thanks. but when the day comes for my preorder, will the ar15 extreme metal still be available? it's somewhat not fair that the 'limited' cases weren't excluded from this long preorder list--since nobody had any idea they even existed back then.

Your time is coming up soon but we can't provide you an exact date. It really depends on how many people in front of you actually place an order in the timeframe that we are providing them with. We recently opened up orders again 2 weeks ago for those who registered on July 14th, and we will continue to go down the line based upon when people pre-ordered. If you registered before July 14th, note that some e-mail services mark the order form as spam and the order form may be sitting in your spam folder. If you registered on July 14th, because of the large number of people who registered on that day, we had to separate the July 14th pre-orders in to two different groups, so you may be in the next batch.

When we first opened up the pre-order list, we had well over 20,000 people who registered to purchase a case, but because of the time that it takes to make a case, we can only accommodate a percentage of those pre-registers at a time. If we took everyone at the same time, people would complain that they are not getting their case fast enough after they have paid. We ask that you remain patient, and we would like to thank all of you for waiting. We are working as fast as we can to get to all our pre-orders as fast as we possibly can.

Ugh what an email.

Anyways, I was wondering...on the EC website where they show the pictures they don't show any pictures of the Tangerine or Lime colors, both of which are colors listed on the back of the package.

Now I'll assume the one iLounge got was the Tangerine, however I'd still like to see the Lime and I wonder if it even exists. They list Lime and Solar Yellow as two separate colors on the package, altho the yellow looks a tad lime.

I sent them an email about this awhile ago, but got no response.

Was able to sneak an order in for one of the new Extreme Metal Frost editions.

Will see how I feel about it and if a MicroCell at home helps. If not, its off to eBay for a tidy profit like my last one.
