I refuse to listen to a man who calls his child “X Æ A-Xii” or take him seriously in general. He’s not mentally well and there need to stop being news articles every time he babbles out even more incoherence.
That’s his brand though. Tesla doesn’t pay for marketing so publishing his public statements draw attention to the company.

It's interesting to me that others feel they have a handle on how much it costs to run an App Store. Consider the backend: data center, computers, power, cooling, maintenance, code reviews, etc.

There's a cost associated with the App Store and then of course there's some revenue that should be associated with it too. Is Apple just supposed to eat the cost? Give me a fricking break.

What I hear is "Man, Apple makes a ton of money... I wish I had some of that... and since I don't, I'm going to bitch about it in the press and litigate it in the courts..."

What crypto scams would those be exactly? The real scam is Apple trying its hardest not to allow a small business to repair your IPhone, or not allowing 3rd party payment integrations all under the guise of 'user safety'. What a joke.
Ummmm the doge pump and dump? The man himself said he pumps cryptos. I used to admire this man, until he lost his cool on twitter. If he is not fighting a diver today or pumping garbage crypto/stock, he is fighting Bezos tomorrow

Yet you still can't get CarPlay on a Tesla or have anyone EXCEPT a Tesla Service Center work on your Tesla vehicle. One man in a walled garden throwing trash into another man's walled garden. 🤣

Apple Maps is poop though. I'm driving on the free flowing freeway cities away from my destination and it keeps directing me to take surface street so instead of 20 minutes it'll be >1 hour drive.

It's much more intertwined and complicated than that.

Apple uses the control to drive hardware sales (with huge margins, even more control, large upgrade markups -- and the cycle feeds itself).

Says the guy who promotes crypto scams that have high volatility, high level criminal manipulation, high carbon footprint, high fees, high level of scams.

I would say more but politics not allowed and I got suspended for it accidentally a few times. All I can say is that Musk and friends are highly unhinged people and if you know their agenda then you’ll vomit and how people could conspire to commit so much evil.
"high level criminal manipulation"

sounds like you get your news from Tesla shorts.

Epic is willing to take those costs on themselves by creating their own store, but apple won't let them.

It’s a tax. If you want to deliver an app to the 40% of the US that uses the iPhone, you must pay the tax.

Businesses have no choice. That’s anti-competitive, because they can’t go to someone else if they want to reach that proportion of the population.

Walled gardens decrease competition, raise prices, and ultimately result in slower advancement of technology.

Android reaches a higher percentage of the population than iPhone. It just happens that those that actually buy apps instead of pirate them tend to be in the iPhone userbase. Businesses want that paying customer base for free so of course they are going to complain and call it a "tax"

Businesses can choose to not support iPhone. It's not required by law that everything supports iPhone. Everything is a choice. Support iOS. Don't support iOS. Support Android. Don't support Android. or Support both. Its all a choice just like the choice users make when they decide which device to buy.

I'm tired of people trying to force their choice as a business onto Apple and have it override my choice (and a billion+ other users choice) to use a walled garden OS.

Eliminating Apple's walled garden is the anti-trust/anti-competitive move as it will just make iOS the same as Android and everything else out there. Apple's competitive advantage is its closed secure system.

Spoken like someone who doesn't understand crypto. Doge pump and dump? What did he dump exactly? Dogecoin is up 2000 percent since January. Do your research.

Hey when is Tim Cook going to stop suing small mom and pop shops who repair your IPhone? Or working with companies like Foxconn who literally have suicide nets outside their facilities?

False. Whenever I want something done to my Model 3, I take it to The Electrified Garage in Seabrook, NH. It's a team of several former Tesla employees, they use official Tesla parts, and their prices are generally about half of what Tesla charges.

A gas supplier in the Netherlands, Holthausen Group, claims to have increased the range of a Tesla Model S, making it the first company to successfully supplement a Tesla with a hydrogen power source. It's called project Hesla.
To achieve this they needed the 'hack' the Tesla software. They were successful ... but mr. Righteous was not pleased. The involved model S was put on the 'stolen' list. Don't mess with MY ecosystem.
