And Apple certainly didn’t start out or has ever aimed to be anything but a for-profit business.Tim Cook is a competent CEO. Perhaps even more competent than Jobs at the job of CEO. But Apple is a corporation. A corporation exists for the profit of its shareholders. It doesn’t exist to “benefit society” or anything like that. It survives if it makes good products/services and sells them at fair prices that earn them adequate profits.
Demanding that Apple go against their primary interest, making as much money as possible, by forcing them to blindly support Twitter in order to “support free speech” is inherently communist.
Apple belongs to its shareholders, not to Elon or any other individual or group of individuals.
You can’t just force then to go against their own interests because their policies don’t fit your particular political agenda.
Elon just wants another Truth Social. He should have bought that instead instead trying to force Twitter and it’s many advertisers to go against their own interests.
But of course he resorts to tugging at everyone’s emotions when bullying every corporation into submitting to his lunacy didn’t work.
