It was a fake reason so he wouldn't have to actually buy it.I've never understood why the spam accounts got in the way of him following through. He could just fix that once he takes over.
I wouldn’t be too sure of that!I think Musk knows exactly what hes doing.
Pumping Dogecoin and Bitcoin. What propaganda is that? is it "Work hard and you can achieve anything?"
You don’t have to like him, but if you don’t think he’s accomplished anything, you’re really not paying attention. He's the biggest fraud in the history of business. Guy has literally done nothing. Didn't even found Tesla.
Hes basically a business celebrity who makes money because he's a business celebrity.
If you don't share the opinions of a certain group, they say you accomplished nothing and are terrible. It is how it works nowadays. Meanwhile, he had 100k in student loans when he started his first business and he paid those off himself after succeeding. He didn't have those loans wiped out for him like most of the people who dislike him will. You don’t have to like him, but if you don’t think he’s accomplished anything, you’re really not paying attention.
It was halted because the share price shot up too quickTrading has stopped
Musk sometimes has awful takes outside the realm of engineering, but he has contributed much as an engineer. Certainly enough to put up with the occasional shenanigans and bad takes. These days he is mainly making sure the big bets his companies take are steered in the right direction, but that still requires significant generalist engineering skill. Although he uses rapid iterative techniques in his companies like is common in the tech industry, he is somewhat unique in developing from first principles in the areas he has been most successful. Almost reminiscent of Henry Ford where all parts were built in-house and they could rapidly iterate on them, but Ford wasn't building rockets. He's the biggest fraud in the history of business. Guy has literally done nothing. Didn't even found Tesla.

This is actually very well said and I'm sorry to hear about those friendships fallen victim to this. It's especially posts on FB that are often out of context, shared, rephrased, sold as factual information. People, I've noticed, so convinced become no longer even suggestive to the question, let alone motivation behind the source itself. Well that, or too lazy to look further and beyond.Maybe. But for those of us living in the US he’s one of the unelected obscenely rich power players who has more influence over our lives than the people we vote to represent us.
The people who control social media control us. I saw that with how the nefarious influences on Facebook destroyed the perceptions and character of people with whom I had what was supposed to be lifelong friendships.
The algorithms and the stealth influences pulled people who used to be thoughtful and insightful and critical thinkers into blind angry, fearful extremists on either side of the spectrum. People who had been united over hobbies and common interests were polarized into hatred. Fact-checked news gave way to memes that may or may not be true or anecdotes that may never have happened the way they were re-shared.
It will be interesting to see how Musk shapes Twitter, if this all goes through. If he’s truly crazy, lol I don’t know if he’ll make it any worse than it already is out here.

I'm guessing you're referring to me here since I defended him a few times in the thread. I am not a fanboy for him nor do I worship him. I simply posted facts about him in response to lies and propaganda. I know people who dislike him hate that though, because it hurts their false narrative. He's so weird. His fanboys are even weirder, people who are susceptible to personality worship. It reminds me of Steve Jobs fanboys.
But he is a self-made billionaire, despite what liars call him.Musk is not an engineer, despite what he calls himself.
I think he will. The USA is doing a lot to support Ukraine and he is one of the biggest names out there when it comes to public figures. What are the odds that someone got tired of his drama after his recent Ukraine comments? Everybody is all Tesla this and Tesla that but people forget that he relies heavily on taxpayer money and businesses like SpaceX and Starlink are at the mercy of US regulators like the FAA and so on.Just hope he will buy it this time!
But he is a self-made billionaire, despite what liars call him.
Steve Jobs was also somewhat of an *******, but he had an important skill that Elon Musk totally lacks: Knowing when to shut the !@#$ up.He's so weird. His fanboys are even weirder, people who are susceptible to personality worship. It reminds me of Steve Jobs fanboys.
What are you getting out of spending your afternoon doing this? Do you think Elon is going to reward you in some way?I'm guessing you're referring to me here since I defended him a few times in the thread. I am not a fanboy for him nor do I worship him. Steve had some dumb moments too, I know nostalgia is a wonderful thing but let's not act like he never said stuff he shouldn't have said. For example, you're holding it wrong.Steve Jobs was also somewhat of an *******, but he had an important skill that Elon Musk totally lacks: Knowing when to shut the !@#$ up.
Well I am confident he is a smarter businessman than me or anybody else on this website. What a brilliant business mind!
