Weird, I thought it had to do with quality control on a premium product, not featuring one of the worst sites in the internet and tying into an AI that called itself "MechaHitler"

Have a few more ketamine microdoses, Elon.

Heck, if you look at Google Trends, the worldwide score for Grok peaked in March/April 2025 and quickly fell back. On the other hand, ChatGPT keeps on rising.
So this afternoon we should expect an article saying that Musk sued Google for manipulating their Trends ... would only be "logical" for him...

What *you* don't like has zero effect on Apple's "Must haves".

I don't like ChatGPT because it bugs out every few prompts and the amount of models it offers is extremely confusing. And ChatGPT 5 performs worse in many tasks compared to grok/chatgpt 4o. Does that mean Apple should remove from must haves? Nope.

It doesn't pertain to the issue. It's not me who needs to re-read the post again.
Are you always this angry?

That's not how it works. LOL. You even mentioned DeepSeek reaching #1. Look at DeepSeek vs ChatGPT on the trends. DeepSeek never exceeded ChatGPT on the trends chart but was #1 on the App Store. Yet Grok in Worldwide AND USA segments more than doubled DeepSeek on trends. 🤦‍♂️

I mean, I’m kinda willing to slide with him on this one. It’s obvious that Apple can partner with whoever they want for Siri. But if competitors’ chatbot apps don’t appear in the App Store, that’s anti-competitive and obviously wrong of Apple to be doing.
Hmmm... The Apple App Store must put our products on their shelf -- only in the tech arena!

I can't say I've used Grok very much but I've seen the reports about Grok's Ani and it basically sounds like a Waifu app. I'd like Siri to be more useful, but not sure that replacing her with Ani is something that Tim Cook will be allowing anytime soon.

Other apps do appear in the App Store. Elon is mad that they're not on Apple's "Must Have" list.

My response was to support the fact hardly anybody has heard of Grok or uses Grok.

You have presidents, prime ministers, and general secretaries mentioning ChatGPT and DeepSeek. You have news channels and sites talking about how OpenAI's moat might be threatened. From a global perspective, hardly anybody uses Grok.

It does appear in the App Store. It does NOT appear in the favorable, 'free' advertising that Apple does in the App Store. Apple doesn't put sleazy, porn like apps in their "Must have" list either.

Grok

NSFW mode video 'feature'

That kind of stuff isn't going to land you on Apple's top 10 wholesome list. It just is not.

X has very similar problems. 'X' isn't all that far from 'XXX'.

[ these are a bit coupled as Grok sucks in more X content to learn from... going to pick up same inclinations as X discussion threads. ]

There is no 'anticompetitive' issue here at all. What Musk is seeking here is a 'handout' of free advertising. If not getting goverment handouts (subsidies , regulation easements , etc) then wants to get them for other large corps. If either business was making money they could buy their own adversing. Perhaps even from Apple. What he is seeking is to spend less. That has diddly-squat to do with real competition.

Can't wait to see all the EU DMA defenders back Elon, right?? Or is suddenly Elon is in the wrong here because you don't like him? 😂

Back him? The EU is trying to fine him.

"Oh Apple. the EU thinks you should put this billion dollar violator on your top 10 list". Probably not going to happen.

It isn't about 'like' of Musk. It is about Musk periodically spewing BS . The EU doesn't want it any more than Apple does.

Silly Elon, everyone knows Apple does not collect user data, much less use it to train Siri/ChatGPT 😂

Apple absolutely collects data. They tend to anonymous the data, but they do collect from users. If click all the default install options there is data collected.

Apple ABSOLUTELY cashes that billion dollar check from Google every year for selling/pimping out the user base one search default. For all practical purpose Apple and Google are joint owners of that enterprise.

I'm responding to your use of Google Trends to support the idea that Grok isn't popular. Google Trends showing DeepSeek at a lower trend compared to Grok, yet it reached #1. Therefore it invalidates the Google Trends evidence.

It would be deliciously ironic if Elon were to win this suit, but then be forced to open up the Tesla dashboard to Carplay, Android Auto, and sideloading apps with full access to all sensors.

The US should have done this for German automakers after the EU forced Apple to open up their ecosystem.

Only seems fair.
