The crazy thing to me is that the expensive cloth and expensive whistle are both either sold out or on backorder!

Both Apple and Tesla need to stop sniping at each other and spend the time to fix their buggy software.
I don’t think this was a swipe at Apple, just a commentary on how silly branding has become, it’s just Elons way of making light of it…. I think his flamethrowers still sell for more second hand than he charged for them new. Elon has factories everywhere that allows him to put anything he wants in a store, it shouldn’t surprise anyone he found the Apple cloth humorous and ordered up some whistles as a social commentary on fandom branding. I actually wish he would make more stuff, the SpaceX store is really devoid of any thinkgeek type merchandise… I still have my USS enterprise pizza cutter…. A completely useless appliance that was too cool to resist ??

Except the polishing cloth is actually useful. I guess you could use the CyberWhistle to call for help when your Tesla goes dead? Either way, I don't give a single CyberF___...
I don’t think it’s a matter of being useful… it’s a matter of it being the same as the dollartree version, an Apple logo certainly does not make it more useful and obviously a whistle is a whistle…. This is just a social commentary on branding, nothing more or less

Ehhhhh, maybe but also a swipe at Apple. Remember his walled garden *cough*Apple*cough* moment?

Which is funny, because in a Tesla you're forced to only use apps they want you to use including their ****** map.

i'm over 1000% gain on my tsla stocks, if that makes me a moron so be it ?
About the same here.
Do people really find it hard to believe that people who made 10-20X off TSLA the past 2 years are defending the company? Of course I'd defend Elon Musk. He made me millions!

I got the (small) Apple Polishing Cloth Pro ? from an Apple Store. It is good for that final touch after the screen is cleaned with something else.

The Cloth Pro could polish Elon's Cyberwhistle.

I think it's time we eat billionaires or create a universal cap on personal wealth.

No more than $100 million in cash. Every country. No tax havens. No loop holes.

These people have gone mad and their scams and behaviour are getting worse annually.
I don't think anyone has $100 million in cash.

It’s a guessing game for sure, I imagine many guessed wrong on yahoo and aol…. Even Amazon seemed a little far fetched to believe they would become the powerhouse they became…ebay turned out to be far less than predicted ….. but anyway I think Tesla will still be around, i can see Apple failing in the car market but that really depends on whether they pull the plug if it becomes a money pit or if they continue to throw money at it…. That decision will come post cook probably….. the thing to remember is competition in the electric car market has not really even started yet, I personally think Tesla currently has no competition… but that will change shortly

It's kind of a wait and see right now. 25 years ago, Apple was struggling at the time but some actually thought Netscape in its early years would bring down Microsoft and soon become a dominant software/internet powerhouse. It clearly didn't turn out that way.

EV competition is really just getting started but it will be interesting to see what sort of consolidations may occur in the auto industry through acquisitions/mergers down the road. Hopefully there won't be any misguided merges like AOL and Time Warner.

Maybe he needs the money from whistle sales?

Elon Musk says Raptor engine production is a ‘disaster’ that puts SpaceX at risk of bankruptcy - verge 11/30

Letter to employees from Elon Musk.
Unfortunately, the Raptor production crisis is much worse than it seemed a few weeks ago. As we have dug into the issues following exiting prior senior management, they have unfortunately turned out to be far more severe than was reported. There is no way to sugarcoat this.

I was going to take this weekend off, as my first weekend off in a long time, but instead I will be on the Raptor line all night and through the weekend.

Unless you have critical family matters or cannot physically return to Hawthorne, we need all hands on deck to recover from what is, quite frankly, a disaster.

The consequences for SpaceX if we can’t get enough reliable Raptors made is that we then can’t fly Starship, which means we then can’t fly Starlink Satellite V2 (Falcon has neither the volume *nor* the mass to orbit needed for satellite V2). Satellite V1 by itself is financially weak, whereas V2 is strong.

In addition, we are spooling up terminal production to several million units per year, which will consume massive capital, assuming that satellite V2 will be on orbit to handle the bandwidth demand. These terminals will be useless otherwise.

What it comes down to is that we face genuine risk of bankruptcy if we cannot achieve a Starship flight rate of at least once every two weeks next year.

Thanks,

Elon

I’m going to buy TWO Apple Polishing Cloths just because the son of Africa colonizing slave owning emerald miners is being a man child again.

Come to me two times glorious cloth.

Musk is obnoxious, but you have to respect how absolutely shameless he is about fleecing the idiots who worship him.

I'm rooting for Anonymous to give Elon another beatdown. It was hilarious how Elon suddenly laid low and got quiet on Twitter right after their first warning.
You do realize that wasn't actually Anonymous, right?
