Oh yeah, right you are. Fixed.

And that was a 'surprise' :)

so it just didn't blow up the wall? did it still inflict the +20 damage on the goons? collateral damage? what is the failure rate? does that apply to all weapons?

I'll answer that for you... there is no collateral damage. Failure rate is random thanks to random.org with certain preset probabilities of successful firing. Example, you got 4 blue balls, 3 green ones, 5 yellow ones and 2 red ones, what is the probability of getting a red ball? Something along those lines...

That failure rate applies only to that bazooka due to its hire AP rate.

Now, why am I telling you this? Well, you are all dead men walking.

so, should we explore this room and check out the goons and their weapons? they inflicted 33HP of damage, so they could be something like level 6 plus +5 weapons, which would be an improvement over the level +3 tommies.

DP do you have any healing meds left or are we stuck where we are in terms of HP's?

Ravenvii, can you please explain the initiation of attack. How is it determined in a battle which side deals their damage first? From the narrative it would appear we got hit first in this last battle. Is it just a matter of who enters the room to start the attack?

It would also appear the Don is hiring assassins which seem to have some kind of special abilities in battle.

We have no choice but to move on, the question is where do we go?

nope i used everything to bring people back last time. unless we find more, we are in a pickle here.

i think the damage is dealt 'simultaneously'.

we had 80+something AP, and the goons had 33 (from the damage they did), of which some must have been weapons.
so it was for them basically a suicide attack, as our firepower greatly surpassed their health, but at the same time they do inflict their entire AP damage, even if they die.
i still don't know what happened with the bazooka, but it probably was irrelevant as we would still have killed them and would have sustained the same amount of damage if I had a regular gun.

so right now any of us can be killed by a level 3 goon with a +3 gun

as far as what to do now we can
-explore here, to possibly pick up better guns
-move into the hall
-move back to the bar and get drunk. :D kidding, although i remain with the doubt whether there is something useful there either to make bombs (molotov) or as medicine
- move down to 2V and 2e/y to try to ambush back some goons and maybe blow down a wall

DP did you know the bazooka had a fail rate? I take it from your posts that you did not. That's a pretty nasty curve ball to throw at us from a storyteller perspective.

At this point I say we try to find the key we need. I think moving is more important than searching for a few AP points with new weapons.

Have we tried the key we have for room 2J yet. I don't remember.

that was the 'surprise' ravenvii referred to earlier.
I had asked ravenvii if it could be used to destroy walls/doors, what kind of bonus it gives and if it causes collateral damages and he told me that it will destroy the wall behind the target, that it simply ads +20 to the AP (double for Koodauw) with no collateral damages.
he didn't mention it could fail. of course we don't know exactly what the 'fail' means, if it refers only to destroying walls or more. but i agree that the existence of a fail rate (and what it is) should be known the moment we pick the weapon.

i even asked if we could shoot at a team mate but he said no :D
(the plan was to put someone in front of the Office door and shoot them. we would have gotten in at the cost of one casualty).
similarly, if someone is in 2E/Y now and we go in from 2V, we would blow down the wall opposite to the entrance and thus get access to the Office.
but if it's empty we waste moves.

all that said, my impression is that it didn't make any difference in the last battle, and we would have killed those 3 goons anyways. However it could make a big difference in the future, especially if the rate failure is very high. (i am waiting for raven to tell me)

I'm thinking we need to try the rest of the locked doors and hopefully we may find some more medicine in the locked rooms. What do you guys think about us just moving on?

the only room with locked doors that we didn't try is 2R, with two doors.

if we want to go downstairs the quickest way is to jump down the rabbit hole i so brilliantly just created in the floor and we end up in 1N :D

so we don't want to see if the assassin goons have anything useful on them (including possibly bigger weapons)?

EDIT: if we assume there is stuff to find, best thing is jumping down and go to A, then next move we are in the unexplored area.
the keys must be somewhere.

I'm cool with looking for the keys and going downstairs if we have to...though it may not be an awful idea to explore the room if you think there's a chance of getting some bigger guns.

If not, let's just look for those darn keys!

Round 15
- Turn 1: Drop through the newly created hole into room N on the first level.
- Turn 2: ???.

we should wait before going straight into A. maybe Mo can give a look first?

Why wait? I think the hole in the floor caught the Don by surprise as much as it caught us. His move was already made, he couldn't have put people there in anticipation that we would be heading that direction.

However, I'll stop the order so Moyank can essentially search the room for us.

Round 15 orders have been edited.

because so she can search all the rooms around, including L which we never searched.

raven was around a few minutes ago, so hopefully this round is quick.

Empty, empty, empty.

We should really take a good look at what is happening here....We may want to have Rodimus give us some drugs to get a leg up on these guys. With so many empty rooms, the next time we face them we're going to be facing a crap load of them and keep losing 1 or 2 at a time.

i think getting the pill boost might be a good idea, if rodimus approves,
but since the next room is empty, we should get them as soon as we get them in there, after we move but before the bad guys move, so we don't waste one move.

we ae in N now, should we go A or L?

if we go A, we are just below the stairs were the baddies were, so they might be close

the new hires come from the front porch or the back patio, so they could be close whichever direction we go

if we go A, then next move we can go to R (which you can explore immediately) and then from there to (probably) Q, B, C, maybe P
if we go L next move we can go to F, which gives access to D, G, and some other already explored rooms

so the gun we left dwon in M wasn't there anymore?
