If I were Tim I would just delete this with a laugh. What atrocious grammar and spelling. Why would you not capitalize the pronoun I but you capitalize every word in the salutation? Really, if you want a response from a CEO, you should proofread what you write. Also, don't use the word "fanboy" in a professional letter either.
Hi Guys, i sent the following to tim cook by email what is your opinion? ps if you would like to send your own opinion to him you probably already know his email but as a reminder its simply tcook@apple.com

i have been an apple fan for many years iPods, iPhones, iPads, MacBooks the lot I've had and still use them daily but i have a real issue with the way certain things happen (i.e the release of ios6) as like many apple fanboys i was eagerly awaiting the announcement of the new iOS and Mac OS and i was watching the WWDC online thanks to live streaming from a justintv user, i was very happy with the new additions to both the OS.
iPhone 4 WAS never and IS never getting Siri. You bought a phone without the functionality and knew this upfront. You are now using an iPhone 4, which is 2 years old. You will NOT get the latest and greatest features. Per carriers and Apples 2 year upgrade cycle scheme, you should buy another phone this fall if you want the best and newest features. Previous devices have ALWAYS lacked the newest features if they werent the newest handset released thats how technology release cycles work. Be thankful your device EVEN receives a software update with new functionality. Can you imagine buying a 3GS and being stuck on iOS 3? Yea, thats what owning an Android phone is like.i was later to discover that all is not as rosy as first expected like the fact that the iPhone 4 will not be getting siri nor turn by turn navigation or 3g FaceTime, when we all know they are capable, now being perviously in business my self i have a vague idea of how things work there i.e. by restricting certain things from older devices it would cause the end user to upgrade and their device thats how its always worked as with iOS 5.
That doesnt even make sense. The iPhone will now be release in the Fall, as it was last year. There werent rumors of a Summer release. And by the way, while the external design is unchanged (seems a lot like the S1 to S2 if you ask me), the camera was upgraded, and you get HSPDA+.many of us iPhone 4 users were eagerly awaiting the iPhone 5 with many hopes of something worth oohing and arhhing unlike the the 4s which yes was decent but not as we was expecting ( new design, new screen, 4g, NFC, better camera , etc etc) so we chose to wait now we knew the 5 would not be announced at WWDC2012 as the 4s has not reached its 1st birthday and would make no finical sense.
Again, this doesnt even make logical sense. You are NOT ever going to receive the latest and greatest features on a two year old device. The 4 is still receiving many of the new features of iOS 6, which is comprised of many smaller ones too.us apple fanboys have been very loyal to Apple, Steve Jobs, and yourself for many years so in return it would be nice to know that apple could show their appreciation and give us a little respect by allowing us the full us of the new upgrades with out having to buy a middle line device as you know as well as we know we will all buy the next generation iPhone when it is released but feel we shouldn't be made to buy the middle gen just for certain applications of the new iOS
Youre not getting a response, and dont count on jailbreaks to enable all of the features. That didnt go over too well with Siri in the long run. If you are such a loyal Apple fan, upgrade your two year old device, since you seem to require the best features. Or use that money for some English classes so you can clearly communicate things.Yes some one will release a jail break with the option to turn the extras on in someway but the end users don't really like to take this route as we are loyal and would just like to not be excluded because we won't upgrade our devices to a half cut addition and want the full Mccoy .
i know you probably will not read this yourself and infact you probably will not even be notified of this email as I'm just a small fish in a large ocean, but i would appreciate it if the person who does read this will put it in the right direction to those who can make the changes to maybe iOS 6.1
and also a reply to show acknowledgement
Thanks Taking The Time To Read This

first its not a professional letter, second I'm sorry i did not realise i was posting on an english grammar forum, i was lead to believe it was an apple discussion board........ Boring click
It should be professional if you want any respect from him. Nobody is going to take that letter seriously. No disrespect to you, just letting you know.
After seeing this, I decided to write my own email to Tim. Just to increase the chances of him taking this "complaint" more seriously:
Hi Tim,
Congratulations on all the hard work that went into OS X Mountain Lion, the new MacBook Pro, iOS 6 and WWDC in general. Have been a great admirer of Apple since 2006 and have loved every minute of using your products.
I'm emailing you on the topic of iOS 6 on the iPhone 4. I'm just curious about the decision to leave certain iOS 6 features (like FaceTime over 3G, Turn-by-Turn directions, Flyover and Siri) out of the update for the iPhone 4. From what I understand, the reduced feature set is not due to hardware limitations, it's due to a strategic move to encourage buyers to buy a newer iPhone. You have to consider though, is that really a worthwhile strategy? How many upgrades do you get via this method? From a costumer satisfaction point of view, would it not make more sense to add these features to the iOS 6 update for the iPhone 4?
I'm not demanding for these features to be added, I'm just enquiring upon the decision to exclude these features and am curious about the reasons behind such decisions. If you would be so kind as to offer an answer, it would be great.
Thanks for the immense amount of passion and dedication you put into the products at Apple. Truly inspiring stuff.
Regards,
A. J.
Yikes. I hope you really didn't send that. Why on earth would Tim read and respond to something with numerous spelling errors and something that just seems like a long rant?

iOS 6 is disappointing. Even for the 4S.
But here's the thing... we weren't promised an amazing update. We weren't even promised an update at all (correct me if I'm wrong) when we purchased our devices.
The truth is, Apple doesn't need to give us iOS 6.
Yes, we are disappointed. But that's because we hoped to get something good. But that doesn't mean we were entitled to get it. Make sense?
So in the end, I don't see why we could be angry at Apple. You weren't promised iOS 6. However, I do see why we could:
-be disappointed
-think that Apple didn't do enough to challenge it's competitors
Apple is allowed to do whatever they want with their products. The iPhone, just like all the old/low-end Android phones out there, can totally handle voice-guided, turn by turn navigation. We can agree on that. But Apple can decide to handicap the iPhone 4 in order for customers to buy the 4S/upcoming iPhone 6. If YOU really want the new features, you'll do what you need to get them. It's not Apple's fault if you decide to buy the 4S because you think it will deliver what you need. No one is forcing you to buy these phones, and again, no one told you ahead of time that you were going to get new features added to the phones you own now. How is it wrong for Apple to only add features to the products they choose? They want cash. Customers willingly give them the cash for the products they want. It's how it is.
Somebody correct me if this mindset seems incorrect.

Why? Apple aren't tied into updating it at all legally. It has more features than it had new. Consider that a gift from apple

Enquiring is also correct.

You're bang on the money with this post.

I'm sorry, you are wrong. To enquire = to question. To inquire = to investigate.
