Still not working for me with Xcode 3. I can't find Devices any where in the Organizer. Do I need to create a new project in xcode or what?

After you plug in your ipad, it will appear on the left hand side of the screen. Google this, there are full instructions.

Can you get in trouble from apple if you fill out this developer registration saying your a developer and you never bother doing anything?

I did that too...nothing happens after plugging in. Do I need Xcode 3.25? I'm using Xcode 3.0.

You will have to start the download again from the link. Resuming the download won't work.

I've never developed anything, and I've been a registered developer for years.

Because all this stuff I would be saying other than my name and address are a lie. Don't just want to get in trouble for this.

4.14 GB download to unlock these gestures... ugh, I just know my internet is going to go out somewhere in the middle.

if it is in developer mode can I just update to the next firmware when it's available and it will go back to being a normal iPad or do I have to restore first?

Until you restore it it will stay in development mode (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

Comcast... i depise them but!

I love their speeds 4.1 gb in 22 mins!

Update your XCode version and you have to be on Snow Leopard.

I download xcode last night and got the swipe gestures enabled. The xcode took at lot more than 4.5 gb of space on my Mac hard drive. More like 15gb. Can I delete xcode without any issues to the swiping gestures. I won't be using xcode for anything else. Thanks.

Thanks for the information everyone. This is much more convenient and intuitive than hitting the home button all the time.

If you already have XCode 3 installed, you will have to upgrade to 3.26. Go here:
http://connect.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MemberSite.woa/wa/getSoftware?bundleID=20792

I was at 3.25 and getting the same screen as you dojoman. Upgrading let me enable the gestures. Good luck!

same problem

i have the same problem like dojoman... but i already have xcode 3.2.6... but it doesnt solve the problem!

what can i doo now?
