End of Jailbreaks & Unlocks???

Well, let's see. There is a jailbreak for iOS 4.3 for both Windows and Mac. Been available almost since day one of the 4.3 release. Maybe you're blind if you can't see it. What hasn't been released is an untethered jailbreak. But I suppose you don't know the difference between tethered and untethered. Most people are waiting for untethered. But if you really want to believe we've seen the end of jailbreaks, then ok.

As for unlocks, if the T-Mobile - ATT deal goes through, then T-Mobile will be getting the iPhone and unlocks will be unnecessary in the US.

God, I get so sick of macrumors sometimes. At least he contributes and his posts are useful, unlike yours.
 
The current delays are not caused by any inability to unlock, but by the need to completely rewrite MobileSubstrate. Apple completely changed the way it addresses memory starting with 4.3, requiring huge changes to MS. Until that's completed it makes no sense to rush to put out a jailbreak, since the most important tweaks (including ulrasn0w) require MS. The Dev-Team is therefore still concentrating on the baseband unlock.
 
I think Jailbreaks will come a little harder than before due to Apple securing their device more, ASLR and other things but it wont stop or put an end to jailbreaking. Unlocking is another thing and alot harder to come by so I think that will be slowed down but with every hardware release/update and new firmware out there's going to be lots of opportunities to exploit.
We just gotta wait and see.

Exactly, they have demonstrated 4.3 jailbreak but it is useless until MS is back up working.

Unluckily, CZX isn't around to actual read this... shame. I miss his troll arse.

Appreciate response, yet your assumptions are off-base. Fully aware of past jailbreak releases along with current conversations of future releases from Dev team.

Secondly, fully aware of difference between tethered and untethered. I'd be ok with tethered as probably many others would, provided the unlock is available also, which I'd suggest more are waiting on vice untethered jailbreak.

Lastly, are you suggesting once T-Mobile aquires iPhone, if DOJ n FCC gives green light to buyout, will cease need for unlock. Don't think so, last time checked, neither of those carriers are present in current country I'm serving in and haven't heard any plans of them coming.

For those wanting to know I'm dyslex my school focused on my reading rather then writing and English skills. This forum and one or two others has helped me improve more then anything. However if I am a burden. (see ya latter) this isn't just to you but everybody wondering. So if this wasn't understandable too. Things often look right to be but they are wrong.

Maybe you should stop flaming other people (you said 'whiny bastard'). That's the reason I called you out, not the English. The OP just had a question, he wasn't whining about anything.

As I read some of the responses to my OP and then reflect on other quotes. I wonder; are more of you jail breakers with no interest to unlock?

Myself, just seeking unlock to use my phone while stationed overseas. If I were back home, would have no interest in unlock.

Well, 4.3.1 is out, updating my iPad right now...c'mon dev team...where's that unlock

I still got my 01.59.00 BB on my i4 but Im not really interested in the unlock cause Im on official carrier. I care more about the untethered JB.
Either way Im gonna save my unlockable bb but I dont need it unlocked, if I travel outside the country I can use a cheap nokia or another phone for a week or so.

Yeah...maybe one day choice will lie with the consumer on both product and carrier, maybe dual sim phone is the answer.
