Toucharcade and I think neogaf has some side by side screenshots showing that the iPhone4 version is running higher res textures than the iPad which causes the iPad version to look blurry when compared. :(

FUD. The game assets are identical on both.

The only reason it looks sharper on the iPhone 4 is because of pixel density. The textures are identical.

Do we really need more FUD in this forum about the ipad & 256mb ram and how it is now terrible compared to the iPhone even if actual benchmarks have show otherwise...

I know, just a figure of speech, but it do look more crisp on the iPhone 4.

iPhone= Native resolution (960x640).
iPad: Upscaled to 1024x768 = blurry.

?

The iPad version is not upscaled, it looks great on the iPad. It merely looks better on the iPhone 4 due to the retina display. — This shouldn't need to be repeated any more times than it already has in this thread.

Btw, if you're jailbroken, then it's gonna stutter as this requires all the iPad power and resources.

No. I took ingame screenshots on both devices and compared them on my iMac 27" - iPhone 4 looks more crisp - has nothing to do with the retina display.

I do believe iPhone 4 runs the game in native resolution - iPad upscale the resolution and therefore looks a little bit blurry.

Post pictures, please so this isn't just a speculative argument.

Nazi Zombies is not a FPS...

How so? Its from the shooters perspective?

I thought he was talking about the control scheme, of which is identical to other FPS.

What makes a FPS? Having a bigger map? I really don't get the difference, I'm no gamer.

I may try this when I get a chance. I dont think it is a resolution issue. I really think it is the textures. I did some close-up comparisons on my own, and even taking the iphones retina display into account, the iphone has higher quality textures. This obviously has to do with the copious amounts of ram that the iphone has compared to the ipad.

That in itself pisses me off. We are ~6 months with this thing and it is already not able to play the latest software at the same level as the fricking iphone. I know everyone gets bent out of shape, when complaing about this ram thing again, its just that there is no "real" reason (other than profits) for apple to have skimped on the ram on this thing. If it is supposed to be a device that fits in between a phone and a laptop, than its specs should reflect that. Any other opinion (in my mind) is just unacceptable.

I like my ipad but the iphone 4 is simply a more capable (albeit smaller) device. I am now realizing that (for me) the ipad is just not worth the $800+ I spent on it. I think I thought I was getting more hardware than what I ended up with. This is of course my own fault as I bought the damn thing sight unseen. I may just sell the ipad on craigslist or something and try to recoup some money. Maybe I will wait for the ipad 2 instead.

Proven. The iPhone 4 has better textures than the iPad. Period.

Well, that's 512MB of RAM vs 256MB for ya. More room for high resolution textures. The iPhone 4 also has lower screen resolution, so it can do more onscreen.

Yes, and further proof that 1st-gen iPad owners got rather shafted on the RAM side. I pointed this out DAY ONE in my review when it came to discussing the Safari browser, so it's not like "my iPad became useless since I got my iPhone 4" or such nonsense...

There's no question in my mind that Apple crippled the iPad, whether intentionally or otherwise. I'd say "intentionally" since the iPad didn't come out too long before the iPhone 4 leak.., so Apple had to have known.

iPad 2 will be a killer, that's for sure.

Just downloaded this today. It looks awesome on my iPad. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds using the Unreal engine for the iOS.

Yep it is kind of a joke. It's the first product I've bought from Apple that I really felt was missing out compared to other Apple devices. Oh well. Still love my iPad, but it's not in the same league of speed/multitasking as the iPhone 4.

While I haven't played the game so I could be very wrong, but it looks like it's a side scroller.

Ignorance...

The iPad version's textures look more blurry because it's a higher resolution. Like running a VHS movie on a 10 inch tv vs. 20 inch tv. The same texture resolution on both devices.
