It is a very limited right and has nothing to do with the DMA.
 
The Register has an article on Digital River stopping paying developers for sales, while apparently still allowing people to purchase items. They were a very popular 3rd party payment system; and illustrates some of teh risks developers will take on if they decide to go with 3rd party payment systems. That's not to say others are in similar straights,, but I would guess it gives developers pause when picking one to save money.

That you can name a few of many shows how ineffective copyright is in getting market power. For Google, for example, if copyrights were effective no one would be able to develop competing search engines, yet they do.
